Does Academy have a free guest list?

Academy has a guest list on some nights depending on talent – we usually release guest list details by Tuesday the week of the event. You can sign yourself up for the free guest list using the free Discotech mobile app.  Or, see upcoming events and add yourself to Academy guest list here. General admission generally starts at $20 but can vary a lot depending on the artist. Some shows can go up to $50 or more.

When does Academy offer a guest list?

If you’re online looking for free clubs near me, we’ve got you covered. Academy Nightclub offers a guest list for most of the nights that it is open for business. The exception to this are for Tier 1 DJ nights (i.e, Tiesto, Kaskade) or on New Years Eve where the venue is expected to fully sell out without the guest list. What are the perks for being on the guest list for Academy Nightclub?

Being on Discotech’s guest list will grant customers free or discounted admission to Academy as long as they check in before the guest list cut-off time.  

What time does the guest list sign up close?

You can add your name (RSVP) to the Discotech guest list up until 8 PM on the night of the event. After that time, we will not be able to add your name to the guest list. You will need to explore other forms of entry from there, which include: Purchasing a presale ticket (you can use promo code DISCO for a discount), paying general admission at the door, or reserving a VIP table.  

When does Academy Nightclub’s guest list check-in close? (When is the latest that I can check into Academy Nightclub on the guest list?)

The guest list cut off time is normally 11 PM.  We highly recommend arriving at the club before 10:30 PM on normal nights to have a good chance of getting in before the cut off.  For bigger name artists and busier nights, we recommend getting in line at 10 PM, when the club opens. 

Where is the Academy guest list line located?

Academy has a few lines at their venue. One for VIP Table Reservations (bottle service), one for ticket holders and general admission, and one for people on the guest list. When you arrive at the venue, the guest list line will be located past the VIP Table line, deeper into the parking lot area. 

It is important that you find the correct line for check in, otherwise you will be wasting your time waiting in the wrong line. If you are unsure, please ask one of the Academy employees outside (they will be wearing suits) where the free guest list line is.  

How long does the guest list line at Academy Nightclub take?

The wait time at Academy’s guest list line can vary a lot depending on how busy the night is, and what time you arrive at the line. The club typically opens at 10 PM, and the guest list closes at 11 PM.  People who get in line before the club opens usually only have to wait a few minutes to get into the club once doors open. On a busy night, it can take 30 minutes to 45 minutes if you don’t show up early to the club.  For bigger nights, we recommend arriving at the venue by 10 PM to avoid waiting in longer lines.  

How to not get rejected at the guest list line

Once you have waited in line and made it to the front of the guest list, the venue can still turn you away if you violate the club’s rules and policies. Here are some things to watch out for:

Make sure you have your physical ID with you. Drivers licenses and passports work great. Digital photos of your ID will not work.  

Dress Code: Academy will deny customers if they do not pass the dress code requirement.  That means no shorts, tank tops for guys, sports wear, hats, ripped jeans, or flip flops.

What not to bring to the club: Academy has a 0 tolerance policy for illegal drugs or anything that can be construed as a weapon. If security finds anything suspicious on you, you will be kicked out and banned from returning for the night.
