Terra Cotta is the newest restaurant venture from 6th Avenue restaurant group. Their menu draws inspiration on a global scale (incorporating not only Korean elements, but also Japanese, Latin American, and other regional influences)—a direction representative of the melting pot that is Los Angeles. Between the delectable selection of house made cocktails, 24 craft draught beers, and a broad and global wine program, Terra Cotta offers something for everyone. The expansive interior offers touches of vintage glamour, such as 20-foot-high ceilings dotted with chandeliers, and grand tufted matte black booths.

Owner Robert Kim and chef/partner Michael Hung’s glamorous new Koreatown restaurant, Mama Lion, has officially opened its doors, adding yet another key player to the neighborhood’s thriving culinary scene. This glitzy new supper club, located on the corner of Western Avenue and 6th Street, is making a serious statement with stunning, high-concept interiors and an impressive, upscale menu. From seared froie grois and caviar service (yes, you read that correctly) to uni tostadas and apricot soufflés, the seasoned chef is serving up a little taste of luxury that’ll pair perfectly with the range of craft cocktails prepped by Aiden Demarest.

Enter through the loading dock off Ardmore, then walk through an employee entrance. From there, you’re directed down a grey, glossy-walled hallway past the hotel kitchens and ice machines. The end of your destination is what was originally designed as the hotel employee break room, now transformed into L.A.’s newest ’80s bar – Break Room 86. Once inside, you’re in an underground New York dance club from the ’80s. It’s a transportive experience that brings a new element to the nightlife scene. Step into Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and be swept into a fusion of retro-futuristic vibes, where Studio 54’s glamour meets The Great Gatsby’s opulence. The focus here is on the live entertainment that lights up the supper club-style stage against a backdrop of a throwback dance floor. Reinvented ’70s cocktails with a modern twist are the stars of the bar, boasting gin and sherry concoctions in gold-dust swirled glasses and a perfectly hued Blue Hawaiian. Behind Kiss Kiss Bang Bang are the Houstons, known for their Hollywood hotspots.

If you were as devastated as the rest of us when the original Intercrew restaurant at at 3465 W 6th St closed down, you’ll be excited to hear that a new venue under the same name is opening up! The owner, Richard Nam, has a great track record of friendly hospitality and high quality food through his work at Korean BBQ joints. He aimed to keep the overall concept the same, while adding its own flair to make it unique in many ways.

Apt 503 is an upscale lounge in Los Angeles that provides guests with an impressive selection of beers and wines. It’s a low-key club with great energy that locals have dubbed it an “amazing hidden gem in Koreatown.” Definitely an awesome place to meet up with friends, dance to live music, and have a good time with a hand-crafted cocktail in your hand.
