District Atlanta

As soon as you walk through the front doors of District, you immediately know you’re in for a treat. The first thing you will notice is the artsy decor and massive columns that hold up the balcony VIP viewing area.

District features three fully stocked bars, VIP booths along the dance floor and balcony, and a phenomenal light show production with multicolored balloon-looking lights falling down from the ceiling. Tongue and Groove

Tongue & Groove created buzz in 2008 by opening the new Tongue & Groove in Lindbergh City Center, just off Piedmont Road in Buckhead. This 8,600 square-foot Tongue & Groove venue is an updated and a larger version of the first, again with two rooms creating two distinctly different environments. The creators seemingly did everything they could to ensure that this Tongue & Groove is bigger, better and more beautiful, including the addition of bottle service to their repertoire.

The Havana Club has been a hotspot in the Buckhead nightlife scene since it’s opening in 1996. The Havana Club has amassed a steady following and continued as an influence on Buckhead Ave. in Buckhead. The revamped Havana Club reopened to the public in December 2009. The Tabernacle opened 1910 as a Baptist Medical Center, school and church, converted to a music venue in ’96 and has hosted many notable acts. This venue is world reknowned and known for extravagent events. From stand up comedians like Dave Chappel to notable live performances by Snoop Dogg, this place is truly the swiss army knife of venues.

A little bit off the beaten path from the rest of the chic nightclubs in Atlanta, off of Marietta St. in West Midtown, nightlife enthusiasts will find Compound. Known for its eclectic mix of Techno, EDM, and Hip Hop, Compound has become a destination for weekend dancing. Today, the clubs music focus is more towards Hip Hop.

The Havana Club has been a fixture on the Buckhead nightlife scene since it’s opening in March of 1996. Founded by seasoned entrepreneurs, The Havana Club has garnered a steady following and remained an influence on Buckhead Ave. in Buckhead until it’s closing in late August 2007 for the Streets of Buckhead project. The revamped Havana Club reopened to the public in December 2009.

Tabernacle

The Tabernacle opened 1910 as a Baptist Medical Center, school and church, converted to a music venue in ’96 and has hosted many notable acts.

Dr. Broughton started the Georgia Baptist Medical Center and nursing school, which began as the Tabernacle infirmary with three beds. The Third Baptist Church was an active congregation with over 4000 members. The congregation relocated during the mid eighties and the building lay vacant until the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, when it was converted into a House of Blues club.

After the Olympics, the building continued to operate as a music venue under a variety of different owners. Tongue and Groove

The club was displaced by developers in July 2007, but it would take more than a wrecking ball to keep them down. T&G created the buzz again in 2008 by opening the new Tongue & Groove in Lindbergh City Center, just off Piedmont Road in Buckhead. Their 8,600 square-foot Tongue & Groove is an updated and a larger version of the first, again with two rooms creating two distinctly different environments.

Tongue & Groove pulled out all the stops to ensure that this venue is bigger, better and more beautiful. Featuring an electro-voice 16 element line- array sound system powered by tour grade amplification. The hydra-plane generator utilizes sophisticated technology to provide smooth and consistent sound throughout the club.

18 Torrent X-rays headline the lightshow, with laser, strobes… In 2012, The Joint debuted as a redesign of T&G’s second room and bottle service tables throughout. More organic in nature, with reclaimed wood and upcycled materials, this 1500 SF space allows for an alternative musical format and is perfect for smaller private parties.
