Palm Tree Festival Cabo Announced – Ft Kygo, Gryffin, and more

Scheduled December 2 though 6, Kygo‘s own Palm Tree Music Festival getaway will touch down in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The upcoming five-day event expands on the blueprint laid by Kygo earlier this summer with Palm Tree Fest’s first rendition in New York in August. With the tropical paradise comes a lineup of top-tier talent across a multitude of genres, including a performance by Kygo himself, along with sets by Autograf, a DJ set from Sofi Tukker, Shallou, Loud Luxury, and a special guest appearance by Macklemore.

Beachside beats and pool deck parties come standard, though Palm Tree Music Festival is also promising both a sunset Kygo performance and a Kygo acoustic set, morning yoga, Tropical Brunch with Sam Feldt, a boat party with Frank Walker, whale watching, exclusive merchandise pop-ups, volleyball, and if all of that isn’t convincing enough, attendees can also partake in a golf tournament alongside the Festival’s founder himself. While many of the events will be held primarily at ME Cabo hotel, guests also have the option of other luxury villa and hotel packages.

Ticket are on sale here. For Villa and VIP Upgrades, guests can contact concierge@pollen.co to learn more.

Best Kygo Songs of All Time – Top 5 Tracks

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, better known by his stage name Kygo, is a Norwegian DJ, songwriter and record producer. He garnered international attention with his December 2013 remix of the track “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran and his December 2014 single “Firestone”. In late 2015, he became the fastest artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, and by June 2016, he had reached 2 billion streams on Spotify.

Kygo has since released several singles, such as “Stole the Show”, “Here for You” and “Stay” in 2015, “It Ain’t Me” in 2017 and a 2019 remix of “Higher Love” performed by Whitney Houston, all of which have debuted on several international charts. His debut album, Cloud Nine, was released on May 13, 2016.

“Carry On” is a song with British singer Rita Ora, released as a single from the soundtrack to the 2019 film, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. It has streamed 174 million times in Spotify.

On 6 December 2019, Kygo collaborated with The Chainsmokers on a track, named “Family”.

On January 20, 2020 Kygo, via his socials, teased an unreleased Avicii track known as “Forever Yours”. This track was first played by Avicii at Ultra Music Festival 2016 but never completed during his lifetime so Kygo gave his tropical touches to the song after Sandro Cavazza his fellow collaborator sent him the track and with due consent from Tim’s family.

On March 23, 2020, Kygo announced via his social media that he had completed his third album titled Golden Hour. The first single, “Like It Is” with Zara Larsson and Tyga, was released on 27 March 2020.

Kygo’s stage name is derived from the first 2 letters of his first and last names, and he got the idea for the name after a school computer system automatically generated the word “Kygo” as his login username.

Kygo has a residency with Wynn Nightlife in Las Vegas – where he plays shows at Encore Beach Club and XS.
