Tao Beach Grand Reopening Set for Summer 2022

Tao Beach Dayclub at The Venetian will more than double its size and will be able to accommodate more than 3,000 visitors when it opens in the spring.

The newly renovated 5-acre rooftop pool also has a new DJ booth “giving visitors the opportunity to dance poolside to the sounds of some of today’s biggest main-stage acts,” according to the company’s release. It did not disclose how much it invested in the renovations.

The transformation of Tao Beach has been underway for two years, designed by New York-based architecture and design firm Rockwell Group.

Rockwell designed the dayclub with multi-sensory experiences and detailed design elements. The venue has orange and warm wood tones with a variety of art installations, including two 15-foot-tall sculptures by artist Daniel Popper. Popper created a pair of sculptural hands at the entry and a tree goddess that welcomes guests to the main bar.

Tao Beach will feature an artist calendar anchored by Swedish DJ Alesso, who is embarking on a multi-year residency, and DJ and producer Fisher, who is entering the second year of his residency with Tao Group Hospitality. The season will be filled with additional top artists and live performers, including Grammy-nominated producer and Black Book Records founder Chris Lake.

The Sahara Las Vegas to Debut Azilo Ultra Pool Party this Summer

The Sahara’s pool gets a facelift as it gets ready to open for summer parties in Las Vegas. Now called Azilo Ultra Pool, the renovations to the pool bring sexy Moroccan décor to immerse visitors in a desert sanctuary.

The 35,000-square-foot Azilo will include VIP cabanas with HDTVs, private pools, spas, and restrooms; daybeds; lily pads; three bars; and plenty of lounge seating. Azilo Ultra Pool will be open to both resort and outside visitors daily, with events on Friday and Saturday nights as well.

Giant LED walls that are two stories high wrap around the outside of the pool and span the south end of the complex. The 10,000-square-foot wall plans to be one of the largest to be featured in a private setting on the Las Vegas Strip. Once turned on, the screen can broadcast concerts and live sports and even split into smaller screens for multiple feeds.

Top 11 Best Bachelorette (Hen) Party Activities In Las Vegas

Headed to Sin City for a hen (bachelorette) party soon? In addition to dayclubs and nightclubs, you’ll need to plan other afternoon and early-evening group activities for the bachelorette and her group that are fun and memorable, while still giving you the most value for your money spent.

The Las Vegas that most out-of-town visitors know is the one of sheer opulence, fast money, gluttonous excess, glitzy sensory overload, and high-stakes swings in fortune.  Of course, the locals and insiders are happy to indulge all those “Sin City” stereotypes, because that’s the version that many tourists pay handsomely to witness – hey, there’s no business like show business!

Why is planning a bachelorette party so hard?

That’s the question that you ask yourself as you let out a big sigh, open up your laptop and hop on the internets, and get to work on mapping out this epic weekend in Vegas.  As you start your search, you know you’re not totally a lost kitten – you’ve partied in Vegas many times in the past with and without the bride-to-be, and you’ve got numerous friends in high and low places who are willing to offer sound and not-so-sound recommendations – but of course you wouldn’t mind having a professional to guide you.   You know, someone totally plugged who can take all those half-formed suggestions floating around and give you accurate, actionable answers?

We’re 6+ years deep into this Vegas nightlife game, and we know how to play it to a “T” ladies.  We’ve helped THOUSANDS of satisfied clients with their bachelorette party needs; we’ve been featured on BBC Travel and we are also highly reviewed on Yelp! and in both the App Store and Google Play.

Apart from any Vegas clubbing that you and the lasses plan to be doing, you’ll absolutely need to do some group activity planning to appease the ones who aren’t really into DJs and dance floors. Some of those options are cliche, but who cares: Vegas is the cliche Bachelorette Party destination, and it earned that title for a legit reason, didn’t it???  Look, we know you’re here for a good time, not a long time… so you’ll need some expert guidance to help narrow down your choices to round out your ideal hen-do agenda.

Here, in order of our highly experienced customer service staff’s preferences, is our Discotech Top 10 list of best and most entertaining bachelorette party activities that your classy group of ladies would do well to line up during your wild weekend in Las Vegas.

1) Make a Splash – Pool Parties

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwIfGlQmOl4&t=1m25s
  • Venue (Location): Varies by price and music type (see our recommended nightclubs in las vegas)
  • Cost Per Person: Free (certain guest lists); $10-150 (discounted guest lists & presale tickets); $300 and up (VIP tables)
  • Time Length of Activity: 4-5 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 11:00AM-1:00PM (avoid long lines and waits)

Pool parties are a legendary daytime activity that epitomizes glitzy Sin City debauchery, and you just can’t get the high-quality Vegas versions of this revelry anywhere else in the world. At least one of these parties on your bachelorette weekend agenda is a must; even for girls in your group who aren’t really into the nightclubs, the eye candy, sunshine, cool plunges to beat the heat (and did we mention eye candy?) make it worth it. For any bachelorette party larger than four 4-5 ladies, it’s a no-brainer to book a cabana or daybed with bottle service in order to maximize the fun; for a smaller hen-do or one that wants variety, we suggest booking a pool party crawl. Find one of the hottest events going on that weekend using our Discotech app, and go see one of your favorite DJs or performing artists. For a Saturday day party, Encore Beach Club and Wet Republic are the best party scenes if money ain’t a thang: between the killer music lineups, high-end ambiance, and (did we mention) eye candy, these two venues are head-and-shoulders above the rest if your bride-to-be is into nothing but the best.

2) Men at Work – Male Revue Shows

Chippendale's Male Revue show, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): We highly recommend Magic Mike Live
  • Cost Per Person: $20 and up
  • Time Length of Activity: 2-3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 7:00PM-10:00PM (show start times for most revues are in evenings)

They call it “Sin City” for a reason, so it’s no cause for shame at all if the bachelorette party wants to include a wild ride on the naughty side. Male revue shows are the quintessential way to get the pulses racing, and Las Vegas is home to the best and most unforgettable male revue shows in the world. Yes you’ll get your fill of good-looking Adonises of all races with chiseled physiques and washboard abs, but along with that you’ll also get expertly choreographed high-energy dance routines that ooze charisma, athleticism, swagger, and sex appeal. For many of the shows, you’ll also be offered the opportunity to snap photos with the hunks of your choice as well as treat the bride-to-be to an up-close-and-personal lap dance. And along with such multi-sensory delights, a bit of light internet research beforehand can yield plenty of “bang for your buck” in the form of discounts and bundling packages that include limo rides, fancy dinners, and cocktails as value-added side dishes to your lip-smacking main course. Here’s your menu – Bon Appetit!

  • Magic Mike
  • Thunder from Down Under
  • Chippendales
  • Aussie Heat
  • Black Magic Live
  • Men of Vegas
  • Kings of Hustler
  • Men of O.G.
  • Muscle Men

3) Relax, Don’t Do It – Day Spa / Massage / Salon

Spas in Las Vegas, NV
  • Venue (Location): Varies by price and services offered
  • Cost Per Person: $50 and up
  • Time To Set Aside: 2-4 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 9:00AM-1:00PM (right when you wake up, to combat hangovers)

Every bachelorette party will need some downtime to rest and recover from the festivities of the night before… or the night to come. Spas, massages, and salons are the go-to group daytime activity if your the bachelorette is craving a relaxing atmosphere and a serene respite from all the chaos of the past months’ wedding planning. Most of the major resorts on the Strip offer luxurious spa packages for you and your ladies to wind down, so it’s merely a matter of finding the one that fits your style and price point. For example: The Spa at Mandarin Oriental offers unique treatments influenced by ancient Chinese medicine; Sahra Spa at Cosmopolitan specializes in skin treatments; Canyon Ranch Spa at the Venetian is known for its hydrothermal therapy offerings. So throw on your comfiest robe, grab a glass of champagne, clear your mind of clutter, assume your favorite position of relaxation, and let your chosen spa take care of the rest. The well-deserved pampering will leave your crew of betches fully refreshed and ready to tackle on another exciting night in Sin City.

4) Dance your Face (and Heels) Off – Nightclubs

https://youtu.be/d2HNd896eEg
  • Venue (Location): Varies by price and music type (click here for recommendations)
  • Cost Per Person: Free (certain guest lists); $10-100 (discounted guest lists & presale tickets); $200 and up (VIP tables)
  • Time Length of Activity: 4-5 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 9:30PM-11:00PM (avoid long lines and waits)

Seems predictable, but sorry not sorry ladies: you know you LOVE to dance, so this activity must make the Top 10 of any Vegas bachelorette party list. Whether your Saturday morning/afternoon figures to be a calm or a crazy one, it MUST necessarily be followed by (or preceded by) an epic high-energy night filled with music and mirth. A word of caution though: when it comes to nightlife in Vegas, the “good guys / gals” don’t always win: villains and shady characters run amok in the streets of Sin City, and they’ve long made large fortunes and long-term careers taking advantage of visitors through cryptic double-speak and sleight of hand, and false expectations. Have no fear, the Discotech app is your magic talisman that unlocks a multitude of crime-fighting superpowers including the ability not only to get into clubs free via guest lists, but also to line up VIP tables with ease. We strongly advise the latter option, because even a Wonder Woman in stilettos will need a break and a comfy couch to sit and rest those sore dancing feet in between her episodes of saving the world.

5) Royal Tea like Royalty – Afternoon Tea

afternoon tea at Waldorf Astoria, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): Tea Lounge @ Waldorf Astoria Hotel (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $54 (includes assorted tea, sandwiches, scones, desserts)
  • Time To Set Aside: 2-3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 11:00AM-4:00PM (avoid outdoor midday heat)

Is your crew less Supergirl and Captain Marvel and more Princess Diana and Meghan Markle? English-style high tea, then, is your sophisticated antidote to the uncouth madness of the Sin City streets… and no one does it better than the Waldorf Astoria. Three seatings occur daily in their 23rd-floor tea lounge, where you and your royal court can soak up a refined ambiance and indulge spectacular views of Las Vegas through floor-to-ceiling windows. In addition to the classic black, green, oolong and herbal selections, The Waldorf also offers a variety of modern artisan blends touting the latest new-age regenerative health benefits. The accompanying noshes – porchetta sandwiches with Brie cream and apple compote; salmon sandwiches with cucumber, capers and cream cheese on marble rye; chocolate macarons; scones with Devonshire clotted cream and housemade jams – are delectable and delivered with impeccable Instagram-worthy presentation. And of course, since this is Vegas you can always choose at any moment to turn that refined, relaxed afternoon tea up a notch with a bottle of bubbly, mimosas, or bellinis with just a snap of the finger. So notify your butler Jeeves of your intent to reserve your high tea sitting, and start practicing your “Queen Elizabeth” hand waves now.

6) Be a Reality TV Star – Upscale Lounges

Vandepump Cocktail Garden, La Vegas, NV
  • Venue (Location): Vanderpump Cocktail Garden @ Caesars’ Palace (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: Free to enter (Dinner / drinks optional; reservation recommended)
  • Time Length of Activity: 2-3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 7:00PM-10:00PM (great for pregame dinner /drinks before nightclub)

If you and your gals bond weekly over good ‘ol trashy reality TV, then you know that many of the most emotionally charged scenes seem to happen when your favorite characters are dressed to the nines and quaffing champagne and cocktails in one of their city’s hottest upscale lounges. Vegas has quite a few of these hotspots to choose from, but why not go with the one that’s the brainchild of one of reality TV’s biggest superstars? Renovated and relaunched in 2019 by British TV personality Lisa Vanderpump (“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”), Vanderpump Cocktail Gadden boasts a sprawling indoor patio layout that weirdly feels outdoor, with pink-accented booths and a full bar adorned with garden decor, lantern-adorned trellises, romantic lighting, and walls and furniture showcasing Vanderpump family pictures (including numerous of her adorable canine children). Cocktail names are witty, such as the matcha-infused Matcha Matcha Man, paying homage to the Village People tune; the spicy Checkmate Bitch, a provocative combination of Stoli Hot vodka and Chacho aguardiente (a jalapeño-infused Colombian spirit from sugar cane) named after an unforgettable Vanderpump rant from Season 3 of the show; and the Rome is Burning, a smoked black cherry Manhattan laced with black cherry chocolate bitters, served tableside in a large smoking jar. It’s a classy yet inviting Hollywood-style supper club that turns into an ultra lounge “see and be seen” scene at night – a drinking / dining / mingling destination whether you’re a superfan of the Real Housewives franchise or not, and the perfect spot to reenact your favorite dramatic scenes, real or staged, from your favorite reality TV characters.

7) Do It for the ‘Gram – Neon Boneyard

Neon boneyard, Las Vegas, NV
  • Location: Neon Museum (Off Strip, 10-minute drive north of Strip center in Downtown Las Vegas)
  • Cost Per Person: $20
  • Time To Set Aside: 2 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 7:00PM-10:00PM (more of the signs are lit up at night)

Here’s what happens when the “What Happens in Vegas Stays In Vegas” mantra clashes with the “Pics or It Didn’t Happen” philosophy. Founded in 1996, The Neon Museum is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying, and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment. The Neon Museum campus includes the outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard Main Collection, the Neon Boneyard North Gallery, which houses additional rescued signs, and a Visitors’ Center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby. The Main Collection contains more than 200 unrestored signs which are, at sunset, illuminated with ground lighting as well as numerous restored signs which are switched on at all hours of the day. The Boneyard is also available for personal and commercial photo/video shoots, and it’s open seven days a week – hours vary based on the season – so the bachelorette and her crew full of amateur IG models and influencers will have no trouble landing those perfect snaps for locking down those “Likes” and “Follows” (or just never-to-be-posted fun memories).

8) Grab Life By the Pole – Pole Dancing Classes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7grAY9lZ83I&feature=youtu.be
  • Venue (Location): Stripper 101 (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $44 (includes class plus one cocktail)
  • Time To Set Aside: 2 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 4:30PM (required start time for class)

Perhaps the last thing you want to do is go to school while on your Vegas vacation… unless it’s a fun group class that’s a perfect female bonding activity for a Vegas bachelorette bash. Taught by actual Las Vegas strippers and featured on E! News and in Cosmopolitan magazine, Stripper 101 is conveniently located on the Strip and covers all the basic movements and techniques aspects for executing lap dances and stripper pole dances. The fun starts at the Showgirl Bar next to the studio, where guests enjoy warm-up cocktails in order to loosen the limbs (and inhibitions) while mixing, mingling, and posing for group photos. The 75-minute class is chock-full of expert tips on how to tease and titillate like Sin City’s most seasoned professionals, and it culminates with a high-energy choreographed routine for the bride-to-be to show off to her fiancee… and for you to show off to friends and strangers at future house parties.

9) Ride ‘Em Cowgirl – Mechanical Bull

Mechanical Bull Ring @ PBR RockBar, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): PBR Rockbar @ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $10 for 1-2 rides (depending on demand at time of visit)
  • Time To Set Aside: 20 minutes per rider in your posse
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 9:00PM-11:30PM (after-dinner crowds are larger, giving bar more energy)

Is your bachelorette a farmer’s daughter or a good ol’ country girl? Deep in the heart of Tex… – ahem, Vegas – is a rodeo-themed gem of a drinking post that draws country-loving bachelorette parties (not to mention barrel-chested plaid-shirted cowboys looking to line dance). Located on the highly trafficked Strip side of Planet Hollywood’s famed Miracle Mile Shops, PBR Rock Bar & Grill is a Professional Bull Riders affiliated mega-venue that truly epitomizes the phrase “a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.” Rock Bar is a sprawling, modern, 16,800 square-foot backyard barbecue featuring two DJ booths, and hundreds of big screen TVs lining the bar. However, its crown jewel – or is it its shiny, oversized belt buckle? – is its massive hydraulic mechanical bull at its center, mounted and ridden in constant rotation by buxom staff and ballsy tourists. The bull is totally female-friendly – more women than men dare to try it out, and the staff often offers free rides to bachelorette parties – so step on up, squeeze tight, pull the bull rope, and lean back for the greatest ride of your life. Getting bucked off (and having the video to prove it) will never feel so good, especially if you’ve already had a few of PBR Rockbar’s signature frozen cocktails to work up that liquid cowgirl courage. Giddy up!

10) Guns A-Blazin’ – Shooting Range

Bachelorette party at 702 Range - Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): The Range 702 (Off Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $90 and up
  • Time To Set Aside: 3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 2:00PM-5:00PM (air-conditioned indoor activity to beat the heat)

What is marriage, other than just day after day of wingin’ it and shootin’ from the hip? So, give the bride-to-be the ultimate preparation for endless years of wedded bliss: a once-in-a-lifetime experience letting off pre-emptive marital steam firing guns at the shooting range. The Range 702’s recently renovated private VIP ranges are available to reserve for large parties and come with complimentary beverage and optional upgrades such as private round-trip transportation, direct entry into your own range with a luxurious sofa, and advanced instruction and firearm tutorial from a highly skilled range officer. The Range 702 carries more than 60 types of firearms to choose from – including full automatic machine guns, semi-automatic rifles, handguns, and shotguns – as well as plenty of space to take pictures and videos to capture memories you’ll be talking about with the ladies for life… or at least, up until the end of the wedding when the bride rides off into the sunset, never to return your calls or texts again. But hey, you’ll always have those crazy Vegas memories!

11) Get Lost, Take A Hike – Outdoor Hiking

Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): Red Rock Canyon (Off Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $5 park entry fee (parking $15 per car)
  • Time To Set Aside: 4 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 4:00PM-8:00PM (avoid brutal midday heat, plus sunset skies are more colorful)

Got some gym rats and health nuts in the bachelor party demanding to break a healthy sweat at some point in the weekend? Located a few miles west of Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is not conveniently on the Strip, but it’s worth the travel and offers a variety of challenging hiking trails, world-class climbing, biking, and even overnight camping in select areas. We know you came to Vegas for the beautiful views though, and Red Rock Canyon is the perfect day trip for nature/photography lovers and Instagram influencers alike. If you’re lucky, you might even see some majestic wild burros or horses while you’re out on those trails getting your exercise on and sweating out the night before… or preemptively burning calories for the night to come. Oh, you meant a different kind of beautiful views? Red Rock has those too: it’s a not-so-secret outdoor workout hotspot for the impossibly fit local males (and females) who tend bars, serve cocktails, or otherwise drive the Vegas economy on the basis of their stunning good looks.

Bonus Activity: Strip Clubs

Men of Sapphire gentlemen's club
  • Venue (Location): Varies depending by price
  • Cost Per Person: $20 cover charge (lap dance / champagne room prices vary)
  • Time To Set Aside: Umm… zero hours. None of you were ever here, right?
  • Best Time of Day to Go: Anytime

This is Sin City, where day feels like night, night looks like day, and you can do WHATEVER you want WHENEVER you want. For bachelorette parties looking to live this mantra and get wilder and raunchier, a late-night strip club trip in Las Vegas is a common item on the agenda. Sometimes, those best-laid plans go off the rails – you stay at the nightclub too long, the bachelorette wanders off, one of the gals ends up requiring medical attention. The great news is that there are NO rules in Vegas, so you can keep that strip club visit on the agenda and sneak over to get your fill of eye candy at any time of the day. For the best male strip club experience in Vegas, we recommend you route the girls to Crazy Horse or Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club; if your party has more of “the girls who like girls” in tow, Spearmint Rhino is the #1 choice as much in daytime as it is at night when it comes to quality of women. Either way, a strip club is a tried-and-true way to put the cherry on top of your epic Vegas hen-do (and might be the last time the bride-to-be can get away with going to an establishment of this nature).

In conclusion: Las Vegas is definitely a place where things can escalate quickly in terms of bachelorette party expenses, especially with a few bad beats or unlucky turns of the wheels or reels.  Nevertheless, Sin City is still a magical landscape where tons of fun can be had at great value for your crew’s budget big or small… if you know the lay of the land. Your friends and nightlife guides here at Discotech are an essential part of that equation – we help you browse and book free guest lists and cheap presale tickets or VIP bottle service for the hottest nightclubs and pool parties in Las Vegas. What are you waiting for? Top 13 Best Bachelor Party Daytime Activities In Las Vegas

Headed to Sin City for a stag (bachelor) party soon? Other than dayclubs and nightclubs, you’ll need to plan afternoon and early-evening group activities for the bachelor and the group that are fun and memorable while still giving you the most value for your money spent.

And Las Vegans (hilarious, but yes that’s what they’re called) play the fiddle in tune because “a fool and his money are soon parted” as the old saying goes.   Hey, there’s a reason why there’s no state income tax in Las Vegas: millions of visitors a year foot those locals’ tax bills via hotel taxes, entertainment taxes, sales taxes, and all other taxes on general debauchery (and stupidity).

Why is planning a bachelor party so hard?

That’s the question that you ask yourself as you let out a big sigh, open up your laptop and hop on the internets, and get to work on mapping out this epic weekend in Vegas.  As you start your search, you know you’re not totally a lost puppy – you’ve partied in Vegas many times in the past with and without the man of honor, and you’ve got numerous friends in high and low places who are willing to offer sound and not-so-sound recommendations – but of course you wouldn’t mind having a professional to guide you.   You know, someone who can take all those half-formed suggestions floating around and give you accurate, actionable answers?

1) Get Wet – Pool Party

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwIfGlQmOl4&t=1m25s
  • Venue (Location): Varies by price and music type (click here for Vegas pool party recommendations)

Seems predictable, but sorry not sorry gents: this activity HAS to be #1 and #1A on any Vegas summer bachelor party list. Why? Pool parties are a legendary daytime activity that epitomizes glitzy Sin City debauchery, and you just can’t get the high-quality Vegas versions of this revelry anywhere else in the world. At least one of these parties on your bachelor weekend agenda is a must; even for guys who don’t like nightclubs, the eye candy, sunshine, cool plunges to beat the heat (and did we mention eye candy?) make it worth it. You can even step it up by reserving a cabana with VIP bottle service. Find one of the hottest events going on that weekend using our Discotech app, and go see one of your favorite DJs or performing artists. Or spice up your trip by going to a hip hop club. 2) Move Mountains – Heavy Machinery

Dig This Excavation Excursion / Activity, Las Vegas, NV

Countless friends tell you about that time they partied at that one dayclub or nighclub in Vegas. Very few, if any, will tell you about that time they went to Vegas… and frisbeed a 1,000-lb tire using a Caterpillar crane. If your crew wants to chalk up a truly epic story while fulfilling one of your childhood fantasies – the clean ones, not the ones about Britney Spears! – then turn them into a construction crew by booking an excursion at Dig This! You’ll get the choice of running a bulldozer or an excavator (the thing with the big claw on the end) and trust us, it is WAY more of a blast than you’ll think. Once the bachelor is seated the heavy machinery cab wielding the levers of that 70-ton vehicle, the testosterone coursing through his veins will make him temporarily forget about those pesky wedding flower arrangements and venue visits… while allowing him to redirect all that pent-up stress towards his Bridezilla towards harmless mounds of dirt.

  • Venue (Location): Dig This (Off Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $143 and up
  • Time Length of Activity: 1.5-2.5 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 10:00AM-1:00PM (avoid the brutal mid-afternoon desert heat)

3) Touch The Skies – Ace Combat

  • Venue (Location): Sky Combat Ace (Off-Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $299 and up
  • Time To Set Aside: 4 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 9:00AM-1:00PM (when the skies are the bluest, duh)

You and the bachelor know every word of the movie Top Gun and apply quotes from it to everything from coffee runs to yard work. Now is your chance to grab your aviator shades, decide who’s Maverick and who’s Goose, and take a highway to the danger zone.  Sky Combat Ace is the closest you’ll ever get to feeling the rush of a fighter pilot dancing through the skies. Book the Top Gun package, then get behind the controls and – with the aid of certified badass instructor – pull off torque rolls, tail spins, hammerhead stalls, and other “just as cool as it sounds to say” acrobatic maneuvers. But don’t stop there: SCA also offers air combat experiences, where you can ride along or pilot during simulated aerial dogfights and low level bombing runs. A perfect memory for the loyal soon-to-be groom who always went to war with you.

4) Rev Your Engines – Exotic Car Racing

  • Venue (Location): Exotics Racing Las Vegas (Off-Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $199 and up
  • Time To Set Aside: 3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 10:00AM-1:00PM (outdoor activity; avoid the brutal mid-afternoon desert heat)

Remember the high school days when you and the bachelor tooled around town in either his broken-down Toyota Camry or your broken-down Honda Accord? Time to celebrate coming up and making it big, and there’s no better way to do that than making those adolescent fantasies a reality with a one-of-a-kind driving experience at Exotics Racing. At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, home of several NASCAR races each year, you can spend the day behind the wheel of magnificently tuned high-powered vehicles straight out of a Hollywood action flick: Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, and Porsches, all gassed up and ready to go. As the original, best-rated, and largest supercar driving experience in the world, Exotics Racing offers a variety of driving packages and group discounts to choose from to tear up its 1.2-mile race course pushing the speed and handling limits of its high-octane fleet. Pick from over 50 dream cars to take for a spin… but only after you’ve picked your action movie star driver nickname for the day. Dom Toretto? James Bond? Bruce Wayne? The Transporter?

5) Drive for Show, Putt for Dough – Golf / TopGolf

Topgolf Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): TopGolf (South Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $30.00 and up per hour (bay rental; does not include club rental or buckets of balls)
  • Time To Set Aside: 3-4 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 5:00PM-9:00PM (twilight skies offer majestic backdrop for watching balls take flight)

If the bachelor in your group fancies himself more “Tiger Woods” than “Tiger King” then there are plenty of wonderful golf courses around town with different levels of challenge and volume/formality to whet his appetite for gripping and ripping. Whether or not your crew hits the actual links in the daytime, you’ll want to find your way to TopGolf in the late afternoon. Now operating in 50 US cities, TopGolf is interactive video game golf come to life: a high-tech driving range facing a 240-yard outfield with dartboard-like targets of varying distances in the ground. Players hit golf balls into the wild blue yonder with the goal of landing them at the center of these targets, which are marked by flags to resemble golf greens. The balls contain computer microchips that track each shot’s distance and accuracy, and players score points for proximity which are displayed on a high-definition interactive video touchscreen in the comfort of their air-conditioned luxury bay. All the while, food and beverages are served to golfers tableside (or is it teeside?) by peppy, easy-on-the-eyes waitresses. And if some in the big bachelor group want to wander, the facility has a swimming pool, a full-service restaurant, multiple bars, several indoor lounges with flat-screen TVs, pool tables, shuffleboard, cornhole, and a stage where bands play live music on certain nights.

6) Paint The Town Red – Paintball

Men in suits at Las Vegas Premier Paintball
  • Venue (Location): Las Vegas Premier Paintball (Off-Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $40 and up
  • Time To Set Aside: 2-3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 10:00AM-1:00PM (outdoor activity; avoid the brutal mid-afternoon desert heat)

Let’s face it: 48-72 straight hours of drinking, staying up late, busting friends’ balls, and losing money and/or self-respect in Sin City is a surefire recipe for building tension among bachelor party members. The most efficient way of relieving that tension – one that doesn’t involve even more drinking or gambling – is to shoot each other. With painful, embarrassment-inducing pellets of paint. Repeatedly. While talking trash. That’s where Las Vegas Premier Paintball steps in: three fields of intense, colorful, messy faux warfare to bring all nerd-tastic closure to all group arguments. Request the opportunity to compete in teams against each other – you can split the teams according to whatever makes sense, e.g. college buddies vs. childhood/work friends. Or you can match up as one unified group against a collection of individual hired guns. Lay down some legit bets – losers buy dinner and dances, shots for every time you get shot, first to faint from the heat walks home – and proceed to take this activity WAY more seriously than anyone should.

7) Channel your inner “KOBE!” – Beer Pong

Beer Pong tables at O'Sheas Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): O’Sheas Pub & Casino @ LINQ Promenade (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $7.00 ($28.00 for one pitcher of beer plus server gratuity, 20 plastic cups, and 2 ping pong balls; use of beer pong tables is first-come, first-serve
  • Time To Set Aside: 1-2 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 8:00PM-11:00PM (cover band comes on around 9PM, plus post-dinner plus nightclub pregame crowds offer higher-energy scene)

With its brightly lit neon “O” sign beckoning thirsty patrons strolling down the prime location of retail and entertainment that is the LINQ Promenade, O’Sheas Casino has a fair share of tourist traffic wandering in and out at all hours of the day. As the sun goes down, that foot traffic tends to linger a bit longer… and the world-class beer pong tables – well-kept with glossy surfaces and eye-catching O’Sheas branding – are the key reason why. Sure, they’ve got a great Happy Hour specials, $5 table games, an Irish cover band slapping 90s and 2000s hits, and even a leprechaun pouring shooters down visitors’ throats. But let’s be honest: your bachelor crew came here specifically to take part in beer pong table after glorious beer pong table, and to take on the crowd of revelers lining up to stake claim to your “Best Pongers in Your Hometown” title. It’s a competitive but super-friendly and super inexpensive atmosphere… so get down to LINQ and shoot your shot, champs!

8) Hold ‘Em or Fold ‘Em – Poker

Bellagio Poker Room @ Bellagio Las Vegas
  • Venue (Location): Poker Room @ Bellagio Resort & Casino (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: ~$10/hour to tip dealer, plus $100-200 poker chips buy-in
  • Time To Set Aside: 2-3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 2:00PM-6:00PM (less crowded plus good post-lunch activity)

For a bachelor party group that enjoys partaking in games of chance – or just doesn’t want to venture outside the air-conditioned casino – a group game of poker could be what the doctor ordered. It’s common Vegas locals knowledge that Bellagio has the double fortune of having one of the best sportsbooks AND one of the best poker rooms in Vegas… and they’re right next door to each other . At nearly 7,000 square feet featuring 40 high-quality tables meeting World Poker Tour specifications, the Bellagio poker room has ample space to cordon off a private table plus card dealer for the bachelor and his rounders. Drinks and food may be ordered while playing cards, and for a modest gratuity you can enlist a staff member – or one of the many poker pros that hang out here – to teach the novices in your group the basics of classic game like Texas Hold ‘Em or an exotic format like Pot-Limit Omaha. Added bonus: when the cards run dry for any of the fish in your group, they are only a few steps away from making a well-timed sports bet to win their money back.

9) Ride ‘Em Cowboy – Mechanical Bull

Mechanical Bull Ring @ PBR RockBar, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): PBR Rockbar @ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $10 for 1-2 rides (depending on demand at time of visit)
  • Time To Set Aside: 20 minutes per rider in your posse
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 9:00PM-11:30PM (after-dinner crowds are larger, giving bar more energy)

Is your bachelor a good ol’ country boy? Deep in the heart of Tex… – ahem, Vegas – is a rodeo-themed gem of a drinking post that draws country-loving bachelorette parties. Get on up, squeeze tight, pull the bull rope, and lean back for the greatest ride of your life… getting bucked will never feel so good, especially if you’ve already had a few of PBR Rockbar’s signature frozen cocktails to work up that liquid cowboy courage. Giddy up!

10) Kick Up Desert Dust – Dune Buggies

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lpa1g-dJY4Q
  • Venue (Location): SunBuggy Fun Rentals (Off Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $124
  • Time To Set Aside: 4-5 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 9:00AM-12:00PM (to ensure you return early enough to rest, shower, and grab a bite before going out)

If the bachelor party is looking for less chill and more thrill, then there are a handful of daytime activities that require participants to sign a Death or Dismemberment waiver. Sun Buggy is one of these unforgettable heart-pounding experiences: you careen through the rolling sand dunes of Nevada in one-person or two-person dune buggies, holding onto your camera phone with one hand and holding on for dear life with the other. You can do a leisurely tour through the desert, or true adrenaline junkies can opt for the more competitive Vegas Mini Baja Chase, voted “Sin City’s Best Near Death Experience!” by Rolling Stone Magazine. A 30-minute race through the Vegas Dunes, the Baja Chase is the perfect way to get your blood flowing, and sweating out the toxins from last night. Because the answer to “But did you die?” in reference to a Vegas trip should always be “Almost!”

11) Guns A-Blazin’ – Shooting Range

  • Venue (Location): The Gun Store Las Vegas (Off Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $90 and up
  • Time To Set Aside: 3 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 2:00PM-5:00PM (air-conditioned indoor activity to beat the heat)

What is marriage, other than just day after day of wingin’ it and shootin’ from the hip? So, give the bachelor the ultimate preparation for endless years of wedded bliss: a once-in-a-lifetime experience letting off pre-emptive marital steam firing guns at the shooting range. The Gun Store’s recently renovated private VIP ranges are available to reserve for large parties and come with complimentary beverage and optional upgrades such as private round-trip transportation, direct entry into your own range with a luxurious sofa, and advanced instruction and firearm tutorial from a highly skilled range officer so you can really get to know the firearms your party is firing off. The Gun Store carries more than 60 types of firearms to choose from – including full automatic machine guns, semi-automatic rifles, handguns, and shotguns – as well as plenty of space to take pictures and videos to capture memories you’ll be talking about with the fellas for life… or at least, up until the end of the wedding when the groom rides off into the sunset, never to return your calls or texts again. But hey, you’ll always have those Vegas memories!

12) Get Lost, Take A Hike – Red Rock Canyon

Red Rock has those too: it’s a not-so-secret outdoor workout hotspot for the impossibly fit local women who tend bars, serve cocktails, or otherwise drive the Vegas economy on the basis of their stunning good looks.

13) Set ‘Em Up, Knock ‘Em Down – Bowling

brooklyn bowl lanes, Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Venue (Location): Brooklyn Bowl @ LINQ Promenade (Center Strip)
  • Cost Per Person: $7.45 ($20.00 per lane per half hour, up to 8 guests per lane; $4.95 per person shoe rental)
  • Time To Set Aside: 1-2 hours
  • Best Time of Day to Go: 4:00PM-9:00PM (Happy Hour from 5-6pm, plus young / hip / lively crowd begins arriving for concerts beginning at 9pm)

Blew all your money at the roulette table on the first day and need to call an audible? Located on the LINQ Promenade just steps away from the High Roller Ferris wheel, Brooklyn Bowl is an ultra-hip yet ultra-affordable upscale bowling alley, not to mention a well-loved restaurant by Vegas locals (their Blue Ribbon fried chicken is some of the best in the city). Brooklyn Bowl successfully transplanted the NYC hipster swagger into the desert – with swanky chesterfield sofas, fetching waiter and waitresses, and full-bodied craft beers and cocktails – but thankfully left the NYC prices on the East Coast. As an added bonus, Brooklyn Bowl shines as a “Vegas locals favorite” concert venue showcasing heavyweight names in reggae, alt-rock, and other lightweight music genres that have rabid followings. Concerts here are standing-room only, but guests can also reserve VIP sections to the left of the stage which come with leather sofas, food/beverage table service, and of course use of the bowling lanes in between music acts (or even during, if you’re not a fan) Brooklyn Bowl is one of the more affordable ways to catch live music on the Strip and thus always draws a crowd.

Bonus Activity: Ladies of the Night… In the Day?

  • Venue (Location): Varies depending by price
  • Cost Per Person: $20 cover charge (lap dance / champagne room prices vary)
  • Time To Set Aside: Umm… zero hours. None of you were ever here, right?
  • Best Time of Day to Go: Anytime

This is Sin City, where day feels like night, night looks like day, and you can do WHATEVER you want WHENEVER you want. For 99% of Vegas bachelor parties, a late-night strip club trip is a standard item on the agenda. Sometimes, those best-laid plans go off the rails – you stay at the nightclub too long, you lose the bachelor, one of the guys ends up in the hospital. The great news is that there are NO rules in Vegas, so you can put that gentlemen’s club visit right back on the Google calendar. When it comes to quality of women, Spearmint Rhino is the #1 choice as much in daytime as it is at night; for a more epic experience however, route the herd to Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club for a standard strip club below plus a raunchy pool party on the rooftop; it’s the tried-and-true way to put the cherry on top of your epic Vegas bachelor party (and might be the last time the bachelor can get away with going to an establishment of this nature).

In conclusion: Las Vegas is definitely a place where things can escalate quickly in terms of bachelor party expenses, especially with a few bad beats or unlucky turns of the wheels or reels.  Nevertheless, it is still a magical landscape where fun can be had at great value for your crew’s hard earned dollars… if you know the lay of the land. Your friends and nightlife guides here at Discotech are an essential part of that equation – we help you browse and book free guest lists and cheap presale tickets or VIP bottle service for the hottest nightclubs and pool parties in Las Vegas. What are you waiting for? 2. Omnia Nightclub Terrace Bar @ Caesars’ Palace – $$$$ – Center Strip

Following its much-anticipated grand opening March 2015, Omnia Las Vegas quickly ascended to the title of hottest electronic music club on the Vegas Strip. Located in the space previously occupied for a decade by the legendary Pure Nightclub, Omnia’s claim to fame as an entertainment venue is its main room, which boat a star studded EDM DJ lineup (including Afrojack, Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, and Tiesto) a colossal spaceship-inspired kinetic chandelier lighting system looming over a cavernous expansive dance floor, and sublime modern architecture.  However, not to be outdone is the club’s upstairs rooftop terrace, which has its own (more mellow) DJ and dance floor along with one of the most complete and stunning views of the Strip lights. Get the “selfie” setting on your phone ready for action.

3. Skyfall Lounge @ Delano / Mandalay Bay – $$ – North Strip

The James Bond-inspired Skyfall Lounge is a multi-sensory experience combining a spectacular panoramic Vegas Strip view, modern interior design, innovative dining options, artisan cocktails, and low-key sound grooves. Although dress code is strict, the rest of Skyfall Lounge’s vibe exudes a laid-back atmosphere: a a carefree escape from the cacophony and stress of Sin City as resident DJs spin easygoing tunes to mellow you out so you can nod your head along to the eclectic beats. With clear, unobstructed 64th-floor views of the Strip from any location on the lounge floor, Skyfall Lounge can indeed get by on ambiance alone. Yet the on-staff mixologists provide another layer of elegance with an extensive and seasonally changing cocktail program and drink menu. If you want to ensure you get a seat to enjoy the views, reservations are suggested; alternatively, you can flash your Delano / Mandalay room key for no-wait entry as well as a free glass of champagne with early arrival before 8:30pm.

Closest nightclub afterparty to Skyfall Lounge: Light (in resort on first floor)

4. Chateau Nightclub Eiffel Tower Bar @ Paris – $ – Center Strip

On price alone, there is no better bottle service deal for a nightclub on the Vegas Strip than at Chateau, hands-down.  The general admission bar areas of this centrally located venue will indeed impress you with their spectacular rooftop views of the Las Vegas Boulevard lights from underneath the hotel’s Eiffel Tower replica, but it will truly wow you with a $400 table special offer that gives you a bottle of Belvedere, a bottle of premium champagne, unlimited mixers for your vodka, and up to 4 VIP entries (no wait + line skip, no cover, hosted expedited walk-in to table).  They also have similar specials for larger groups, and even if vodka isn’t your weapon of choice they still have uber-affordable bottle pricing for a la carte orders. Viva la France!

5. Apex Social Lounge @ Palms Hotel – $$$ – Center Strip

Skyline view from Apex Social Club

Perched on the 55th floor of the Palms Casino & Resort for over a decade was the iconic GhostBar; in early 2018 the space was expanded, renovated, and rebranded as the upscale boutique nightclub and rooftop bar APEX Social Club. With top-of-the-line modern and ultra-chic decor along with top-notch views from the top of Sin City, the new venue is quite aptly named. Mind-blowing IG-worthy 360-degree panoramic views from the outdoor skydeck of APEX Social recreate the exhilarating feeling of being on top of the world. The venue is only open from Thursday through Sunday evening, but it’s certainly worth the slight detour from Las Vegas Boulevard if you’re in the skyline sightseeing – and late-night partying – mood.

6. 107 SkyLounge @ Stratosphere Hotel – $$ – North Strip

Being 107 stories above the Vegas strip in the Stratosphere Tower gives this ultra-lounge its name; while it lacks a unique moniker, 107 SkyLounge makes up for that with the most unique skyline view of the city. It’s the highest point on the north end of the Strip facing properties south, so it offers scenery only matched by the high-rise private residential towers in that area. Their drinks are incomparable as well: high-end martinis and more adventurous spirits expertly crafted from award-winning bartenders. 107 does have DJ formats and turn into a quite lively scene on the weekend evenings, but if a high-volume party isn’t your forte it’s still got plenty of quieter nooks and crannies to enjoy the evening and the views in the company of a special date.

Closest afterparty nightclub to 107 SkyLounge: EBC At Night / XS (inside resort on first floor)

7. Foundation Room @ Mandalay Bay – $$$ – North Strip

Foundation Room – one of the Mandalay Bay Resort’s gathering spaces with the largest layout in terms of square footage – offers the most spacious amount of real estate for large groups to mingle comfortably. The venue is located 63 floors high and gives visitors an exhilarating panorama of the world-famous lights of the Las Vegas Strip; in addition to breathtaking outdoor vistas, the dimly lit interior exudes intimacy and dark-toned luxury. It’s a very popular space with corporate clients as a gathering backdrop for high-ranking executives sporting suits, or just middle managers in polos and khakis pregaming before throwing themselves into the craziness of the Vegas strip.

Closest nightclub afterparty to Foundation Room: Light (in resort on first floor)

8. Beer Park @ Paris Hotel – $$ – Center Strip

So much for creative naming. Beer Park is designed with the goal of giving tourists a no-frills slice of Americana, but with all the frills of Vegas, baby, Vegas. The open-air entertainment venue, of which American mega-brand Anheuser-Busch is a strategic investor, puts forth a nostalgia-inducing atmosphere that mixes the feel of a classic baseball stadium with the communal charm of a suburbia park with all of the glorious food and drink favorites each has to offer. Similar to the Vegas Strip itself, this brand-new space was designed to bring people from all over the world together, with Oktoberfest-style communal picnic tables for communal drinking and a grassy lawn to challenge strangers in friendly classic bar games like giant Jenga, Skee-Ball, Pop-A-Shot, darts, and billiards. But on top of all of these perks, Beer Park totally understands – and focuses on – sports as the great global unifier: it is one of just a few spots in Las Vegas to offer onsite wagering outside of a sportsbook, and gargantuan towers on each side of the main bar display multiple high-definition televisions that are ideal for watching the biggest sports matches of the day whether you’re a longtime die-hard or a new “fan” holding a $20 wager in hand.

Closest nightclub afterparty to Beer Park: Chateau (in resort on first floor)

9. Sake Rok Terrace Bar @ The Park Vegas – $$ – South Strip

Home to the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, semi-annual UFC megafights, and the biggest music acts of any genre swinging through Sin City – Metallica, Bruno Mars, Elton John, George Strait, J-Lo, and Ariana Grande are some of the megastars that have graced its stage – the 20,000-seat capacity T-Mobile Arena, built in 2016, is an ultra-modern gathering place. To complement the hundreds of entertainment dates scheduled at the arena annually – and also to draw tourists to the area on the few nights the arena is dark – the stadium grounds are bordered by The Park Vegas, an open-air cobblestone footpath lined with casual restaurants and bars that are perfect for T-Mobile pre-partying… and post-partying, since Vegas never sleeps duh. One of the signature restaurants on the Park Vegas strand, Sake Rok offers fine sushi and sake indoors on a daily basis, then opens up to al fresco vibes on the upper floor rooftop terrace starting in the early evening. Plush lounge sofas offer views down onto the newest part of the Strip while sipping on a wide range of mixology signature cocktails and classics with a twist. Sake Rok is a great spot for pre–game drinks, or a post-game nightcap after a jolly good show at T-Mobile.

Closest nightclub afterparty to Sake Rok Terrace Bar: On The Record (in Park MGM resort next door)

10. Voodoo Lounge @ Rio – $ – Center Strip

Views of Strip from Voodoo Lounge, Las Vegas

Located off the main Las Vegas Boulevard drag 51 stories atop the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, the VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub & Lounge offers spellbindingly intimate Strip views, juggling acrobatic bartenders, and a purple-hued open-air veranda area where patrons can enjoy a warm desert breeze while guzzling some of the most creative cocktails in Las Vegas (a smokingWitch Doctor, anyone?). With an off-Strip location, VooDoo’s ambiance is a little more relaxed than many of the Strip’s clubs, and because it’s an older venue the crowds tend to be thinner these days than that of the other venues on this list. However, if you’re looking for casual and chill – along with a convenient yet quality bite to eat along with your views – tie this place together with a restaurant reservation at VooDoo Steak one floor below to create one helluva Vegas night to remember.

Closest nightclub afterparty to Voodoo Lounge: Apex Social Club (in Palms resort across street)

[Case Study] Las Vegas Bachelor Party

Planning Vegas for Large Groups – Case Summary

  • Total months of planning: 6
  • Total attendees: 20
  • Total number of suites: 1
  • Total number of beds / couches in suite: 14
  • Total number of in-suite bartenders: 3
  • Total number of group events over weekend: 5
  • Total number of bottles ordered in VIP sections: 72
  • Total budget: USD $40,000 ($2,000 per person; included lodging, food/drinks, and entertainment)

Among the thousands of Las Vegas bachelor parties that Discotech has helped plan over the years, a handful stand out head-and-shoulders above the rest. One of these epic stag do’s took place in August 2018; it was a larger-than-life affair bringing together 20 amped-up gentlemen from the East Coast (NYC), West Coast (LA / SF), Dirty South (DC), overseas (Seoul, Korea!) and even a few Vegas locals for an unforgettable 3.5 days of revelry to honor the man of the hour: a perfect gentleman by the name of Woody.

Planning a Bachelor Party for a Large Group on a Budget

Why is planning a bachelor party for a large group so difficult?

  • Dinner reservations – limited number of places that can seat large groups, people have different cuisine preferences
  • Hotel rooms / suites – need to decide on location, negotiate a discount deal, and make sure that it can accommodate the group within their set budget
  • Activities – people have different preferences, not all activities can accommodate large groups
  • Nightclubs / pool parties – getting 4-5 people into a Vegas club can be a huge headache already; getting 15-20 – and all guys! – would be a nightmare, if not flat-out impossible, without a host.
  • Promoters – Many shady characters in Vegas nightlife seek to take advantage of naive visitors by obscuring the truth about how much VIP tables really cost and what amenities are included with the VIP experience; this dishonesty leads to customers getting hustled, their expectations not met, and their money spent inefficiently.

Discotech is your subject matter expert when it comes to planning large group trips to Vegas, and of course for bachelor parties of any size. Here’s how we helped Woody’s big group of twenty pull off the no-holds-barred bachelor party of a lifetime.

Case Overview

Discotech was able to create an unforgettable guest experience for our bachelor Woody, his Best Man and lead planner JB, and their large bachelor party entourage in support, due to our following core principles:

  • Responsiveness: Immediate, informative, and thorough communication with the Woody and JB at initial contact and frequently early on in the planning process
  • Transparency: Constant, accurate information disclosure in real-time, both in the months leading up to the weekend and in real time over the course of the weekend
  • Presence: Highly experienced host staff on-call and on-site during the bachelor weekend to ensure all events coordinated on schedule and on budget
  • Knowledge: With over two decades of experience held by Discotech and its Vegas local host partners, we know every in and out of Vegas nightlife and entertainment. This experience allows us to provide helpful input on any and every proposed idea, as well as build out best-fit itineraries for groups with little or no experience in Vegas party planning, based on what’s worked for our previous clients.
Execution: Flawless, mistake-free execution according to the agreed-upon and finalized plan and pricing – as well as rapid solutions to any unexpected itinerary and/or budget changes – has allowed Discotech to showcase that we are experts in our field and our service is unrivaled.
Martin Garrix at Omnia Nightclub, Las Vegas, Nevada (August 2018)

With Las Vegas nightlife services being such a competitive landscape, we needed to provide Woody, JB, and the boys a top-of-the-line itinerary full of Instagram-worthy moments to reward their faith in choosing us. The bachelor and his crew needed assistance with three basic tasks:

  1. Booking one of the premier luxury hotel suites on the Las Vegas Strip;
  2. Booking a Vegas nightclub VIP experience for Friday night;
  3. Booking a Vegas dayclub VIP experience for Saturday afternoon.

More importantly, they needed this task executed quickly and comprehensively, from a proven company with considerable experience and access to a variety of options to ensure best-fit final choices and no unexpected snags or hiccups for any of the guys in the group .

Once we got the green light from the ringleader JB that funds were collected from all participants and the per-event budgets set, we immediately set out to define – then blow through – the expectations for all of the attendees in their group. We knew that many of the attendees were experienced nightlife partygoers but somewhat new to the Discotech platform and services, and thus could become high-value repeat customers not only on future Vegas trips but on future party nights in their home cities. So, we made it a point to send intro emails to each of the 20 participants to let them know they were in good hands and also to elicit suggestions on how to make the weekend better. (A few of the guys came up with good ideas from past trips; others volunteered some hilarious – and some borderline raunchy – Vegas stories not quite fit for print here.)

Day 1 Bachelor Party Agenda Details (Friday)

Morning: Woody, JB, and a few others arrived earlier than the rest of the pack on red-eye flights from New York City; as a result, they were able to secure an early check-in to the group’s palatial resort digs for the weekend. With the advice of Discotech, they had booked the Forum Tower Duplex Suite at Caesars’ Palace – an older yet still well-kept cavernous two-story royal headquarters offering a convenient central Strip location and, more importantly, at a comparatively affordable market price for a large group luxury suite option with ample bed and couch space for 20 gents to crash together.

Afternoon:  With the group’s bachelor weekend WhatsApp chat set up and already on fire with inside jokes and memories from past party time, the rest of the bachelor’s crew began arriving into town and coordinating shared rides from the airport to Caesars’ to save some money.  All group members were instructed to drop their bags off at the suite and immediately report to Caesars’ Garden of the Gods – one of the best non-dayclub pools on the Vegas Strip – for the “welcome meeting” and drinks poolside with Woody.

Evening: With the bachelor being a huge sports buff, the group decided to forgo a run-of-the-mill fancy steakhouse and instead have a casual feast / boozefest / game watch at Tilted Kilt Las Vegas, the best sports bar – and one of the best bars, period – on the Las Vegas Strip.

Late night: No sir, this wasn’t a “walk the strip and barhop” group or “calm before the storm” kind of night. A clubhead for nearly two decades since his high school days in Seoul, Woody knew from the start he wanted an epic night full of flashing lights, pulsating music, and lifelong memories at one of the best clubs in the world. The clear call was Omnia LV, which had global EDM DJ phenom Martin Garrix performing that night. Discotech and its local host partners were able to arrange for Woody’s bachelor crew the best prime dance floor table in the house hands-down, with phenomenal views of both the stage and Omnia’s world-famous dynamic giant spaceship light show installation descending from the ceiling in sync with the music.

Day 2 Bachelor Party Agenda Details (Saturday)

Daytime: POOL PARTY!! And not just any pool party, but Encore Beach Club – arguably the best of the top pool parties on the Strip (and in the world!) and one of Woody’s “Happiest Places on Earth.” We were able to arrange VIP table service at one of EBC’s poolside Lily Pads – a large orbital daybed in the water with a large umbrella offering shade. Not only that, through our long-standing door connections there we were able to get the guys the following upgrades at no additional charge to the group:

  • Prime section / table location with unobstructed views of stage
  • Central Lily Pad in middle of main pool and right next to packed dance floor with heavy foot traffic
  • VIP Bottle procession, presentation, and signage spelling out bachelor’s name
  • Complimentary spray champagne for bachelor
  • Two complimentary bottles of house vodka + mixers
  • Additional private security / bouncer staff for table

Afternoon / Early Evening: EBC hit its party peak from 2:30pm to around 4pm, but Woody’s group of extraordinary party animals stayed all the way until 6:30pm to shut the club down (and give away their excess alcohol bottles).  Afterward, the group stumbled back to Caesars’ to enjoy some free time and recover a bit; a group dinner was to be skipped and the arranged meet-up time was for 10pm. Individuals and small groups broke off and engaged in one or more of these common Vegas activities:

  • Grabbed a casual bite
  • Walked the Strip for sightseeing
  • Bought liquor and snacks for the night’s festivities
  • Went shopping
  • Napped / relaxed at pool
  • Scheduled in-room massage
  • Got in a quick workout at Caesars’ gym
  • Called wife / girlfriend / kids
  • Tried their luck at the blackjack, craps, and roulette tables

Late Evening: Everyone was awake from their naps, showered, and ready to go no later than 10:30pm. The first floor of the suite was the rendezvous point for the crew, and pregame drinks were ready in that room for everyone to hit the ground running.

Woody’s vision for Saturday night was not to hit the club once more, but to bring the club to him. With the large group size offering the unique opportunity and budget to do so and Discotech advising and contributing its local connections to organizing the logistics, the bachelor group was able to throw a “homies house party” inside of a spacious baller Vegas suite complete with a DJ, laser lights, live themed entertainment (stilt-walkers & fire-breathers), body-painted professional bartenders, copious food & drink, ice luges, drinking games, & fun friends old and new mingling.

The chosen theme for the bash in the two-story Forum Tower was “Heaven and Hell” and the results were nothing short of spectacular:

Late Night / Early Morning: The suite party raged well past three in the morning, but as mentioned there were some SERIOUS party animals in this group. Some of the guys that weren’t too tired or too drunk to compete for the “Last Man Standing” Award did in fact make it to the out to the strip clubs in Las Vegas, a standard item on most bachelor party agendas. The selected destinations to put the final nightcap on this legendary Vegas bachelor party were Discotech’s top two choices: Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club and Spearmint Rhino. (No pictures or stories from those events, of course.)

Bachelor Party Aftermath

Come Sunday morning, the post-party carnage in the Caesars’ suite was NOT pretty:

aftermath of suite party in Las Vegas

What WAS pretty though, was the stat sheet:

  • Damage caused to Forum Towers Suite (in USD): $0
  • Number of deaths or serious injuries: 0
  • Number of arrests / detentions: 1 (story for another time)
  • Number of flights home missed: 0

So… we consider that a YUUUGGE scoreboard win, and a successful Vegas bachelor party weekend on all counts!!! With many of the guys being highly experienced party veterans of Las Vegas and other cities, the standards and the hype were pretty sky-high going into the weekend. Still, Woody’s crew was able to live up to those lofty expectations and accomplish all of the group plans within its set budget, thanks in part to Discotech’s input and support. In the process, each of the fellas gained a positive lasting impression for Discotech, and we gained 20 new “power user” clients, a host of new friends, and a handful of tall tales to be told to future generations.

And our bachelor Woody? He was ecstatic his boys had a blast, he lived happily ever after, and he left Sin City on Sunday afternoon the same way he came in:

As a TOTAL saint.

Top 10 Best Bars on the Las Vegas Strip

The one thing that Las Vegas has no shortage of is laid-back places to get your drink on. No matter your price point, music preference, ethnic background, nationality or age, someone on The Strip is ready and willing to meet you at your idea of fun and hand you a stiff drink, in exchange for your dignity and your hard-earned moolah. Most of the time, that drink also comes with a warm smile, a welcoming ear, and witty chatter that may eventually lead to a memorable Sin City story. All up and down the Las Vegas Boulevard stretch, various bars offer up libations of the common and obscure variety to entertain the strip’s 42 million annual visitors. We’re not talking dayclubs or hip hop nightclubs, concert venues, or even fancy lounges. No sir or ma’am, we’re getting straight down to business here: you’re sober and thirsty, and Vegas has got your cure. Steel your heart and your liver, here are Discotech’s Top 10 best bars on the Las Vegas Strip.

1. Tilted Kilt @ the LINQ Promenade – $ – Center Strip

Kilt Girls bartenders @ Tilted Kilt Las Vegas

Repeat after me: Tilted Kilt Las Vegas is THE BEST sports bar on the Las Vegas Strip. There is zero hyperbole in this claim, as TKLV checks all the boxes off any list a customer could wish for from both a local sports bar back home and a fun-loving pub while on a hard-earned vacation. Great location? Check. (Stumbling distance from any Strip resort.) Theme party with sexy Vegas kitsch? Check. (Bawdy Scottish pub meets naughty schoolgirl fantasy.) Reasonably priced drinks? Check. (Some of the cheapest on the Strip, surprisingly.) Attentive, very easy-on-the-eyes service staff? Check. (See above pics… C’mon man, it’s Vegas!!!) Sports on every TV? Check. (Forty large plasma TVs and two extra-large projectors always tuned to live action, plus the Holy Grail: friendly floor managers that move quickly to fulfill any channel change requests.) Mouth-watering bar food? Check. (World-class buffalo wings, “Big Arse” Burgers, flatbread pizzas, loaded tater tots… the list goes on.) Turnt up parties on big occasions like St Patrick’s Day, Halloween, and NFL Playoffs / Super Bowl? Check.

Now a regional chain with franchises across Southern California, “The Kilt” as Vegas locals affectionally call it originally launched at the Rio Hotel & Casino in 2003 before moving to its current 9,000 square-foot two-story location at the LINQ Promenade in 2014. Everything about the venue screams “Touristy!” and yes, they purposely cater to the thousands of out-of-towners they see daily. However, you’d also be shocked at just how many locals are seated at Tilted Kilt’s bar on any given night, many of whom are hard-working salt-of-the-earth service industry professionals coming from or headed to another work shift on the Strip. This is what makes TKLV a truly special place: out of all the aforementioned boxes it already checks, it also checks the “friendly neighborhood bar” box where visitors and locals mingle, interact, root on their teams, and share light-hearted banter and stories over cold suds and strong spirits. Yes, Vegas has a handful of these all-around superstar bars spread out around town, just not any right on the Strip like this one. Born and raised in Sin City, The Kilt is a very much a Wolf of a local bar dressed in tourist Sheep’s clothing… and as their company tagline goes, “A cold beer never looked so good.”

2. The Chandelier @ Cosmopolitan$$$$ – Center Strip

A popular hotel choice and rendezvous point for the beautiful twentysomethings and thirtysomethings of the world since the day it opened, The Cosmopolitan continues to stand out from all other high-end resorts on the Strip by maintaining its modern style and sophistication while consistently adding new attractions. A hotel popular with well-traveled and well-heeled young foreigners as well as in-the-know locals, Cosmo has always attracted the cool kids crowd with its long list of buzzy restaurant/lounge scenes and its cadre of Instagram-worthy sights. Fitting right in with this ethos in the center of Cosmo’s first – and second! – floor is the glistening Chandelier Bar, arguably the crown jewel in the resort’s seemingly endless treasure chest of luxurious entertainment options.

Really though, nothing says Las Vegas like a multi-floor bar housed within a two-million piece crystal chandelier. Each level of the The Chandelier has its own vibe, but the second level is where first-timers belong: here the mixologists – some of the most knowledgable and highly skilled in the world – whip up otherworldly libations from a long list of foams, tinctures, purees, garnishes, and hard-to-find spirits. (The Verbana is our favorite – a must-try on your next visit.) The cocktails here are definitely not cheap, but they are artistic masterpieces that you’ll talk about with friends back home for months after your Vegas vacation. The upscale ambiance here makes it perfect for an after-conference business meeting, a first date rendezvous, or nightclub pregame people-watching and friends-making. So press and steam your best suit or cocktail dress – although the vibe is always relaxed, upscale cocktail attire is strongly encouraged inside the Chandelier – and brace yourself for an unforgettable bar night in Vegas.

3. Beerhaus @ The Park Vegas / T-Mobile Arena – $$ – North Strip

inside of Beerhaus at The Park Vegas, Las Vegas

The best of the bars in the bunch is Beerhaus, an uber-fresh take on the German beer hall concept that features craft beer and made-to-order high-end bar grub favorites – burgers, ribs, hot dogs, brats, soft pretzels, wings, tater tots etc. – using hormone-free meat and locally sourced produce. On any sports nights at the stadium, the place is packed more than two hours in advance and one hour after; even if you don’t have tickets to T-Mobile, Beerhaus is perfect for getting together with friends and watching your teams on one of the pristine flatscreens while taking periodic breaks to talk smack over a game of ping pong, Connect Four, or cornhole under the patio misters.

4. Gilley’s Saloon @ Treasure Island – $ – North Strip

Gilley's Girls cowgirl bartenders @ Gilley's Saloon Las Vegas, Nevada

It’s all country music all the time at Gilley’s Saloon, but that singular focus doesn’t stop this wild watering hole from being one of the best live music venues in Las Vegas of any musical genre. The Gilley’s recipe for fun is tried and true: take the spirited saloons of the Old West frontier days, add a dash of the sexy and fast-paced excitement of Las Vegas Strip, bring to a steady boil with non-stop country music heat, and pour on gallons of whiskey, moonshine, and Bud Light for a steady, long-lasting party.

Boots, buckles, and denim are common décor among visitors – especially on Vegas Locals Night Mondays where $2 drinks are served up – but the friendly barkeeps extend warm hospitality to the regular dressed folks as well. In fact, this place is the perfect spot for the country-curious, meaning those city slicker friends of yours who like that Blake Shelton, Dan & Shay, or Old Dominion song on the radio but are open to line dancing lessons (they offer them several nights a week), munching on Texas BBQ (they have quick-serve countertops), and being served cheap drinks by cute cowgirls while going deeper down the country music rabbit hole. Up-and-coming country bands perform live at Gilley’s 3-4 nights a week, and every so often a country music superstar in Vegas for a quick turn pops in unannounced for an intimate set.

5. Brooklyn Bowl @ the LINQ Promenade – $$ – Center Strip

bar area at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas

Located on the LINQ Promenade just steps away from the High Roller Ferris wheel, Brooklyn Bowl is an ultra-hip upscale bowling alley, a well-loved restaurant by Vegas locals (their Blue Ribbon fried chicken is some of the best in the city), and a concert venue showcasing heavyweight names in reggae, alt-rock, and other lightweight music genres that have rabid followings. But its expansive bar area at the front of the spacious venue also shines as one of the best and most underrated drink stops in Vegas.

The craft beer selection showcases the best of East Coast and West Coast microbrews and rotates frequently, and perhaps even better than the beer is their bar food menu which offers high-end creative takes on the classics. Insiders tip: if you’ve got concert tickets, we highly recommend you come for Happy Hour (Mon-Fri, 5-7pm) and then stay for the concert afterward to avoid long waits in line. Except on the 1-2 times a month a major artist drops in for a more intimate show, Brooklyn Bowl is one of the more affordable ways to drink, eat, and catch live music on the Strip and thus always draws a crowd.

6. Mandarin Bar @ Mandarin Oriental – $$$$ – Center Strip

Vegas locals affectionately call this spot the “Corner Bar” for its location tucked away on the 23rd floor of the Mandarin Oriental, but moreso as a clever tongue-in-cheek nickname evoking a shoddy dive when it’s actually one of the fanciest and prettiest environments for a cocktail in all of Vegas. The richly decorated space is always quiet enough for one-on-one conversations, whether you’re celebrating a romantic milestone occasion with your significant other or a local looking to entertain an important out-of-town business client in a memorable way. It’s not about any crowd at Mandarin Bar, it’s really all about the views: through floor-to-ceiling glass, stunning skyline scenery in all directions enchants visitors and entices them to indulge in the high life.

And the high life you shall have, with complex cocktails showcasing innovative takes on classics punctuated with unconventional and hard-to-find ingredients such as smoked mandarin orange tea syrup. For example, their Mandarin Martini muddles oranges with fresh pineapple and lime juices, Hendricks gin, Aperol and simple syrup. Additionally, they carry a slew of original craft cocktails to ensure that your sensory experience of taste is on par with the delicious views your eyes are taking in at the top. Our favorites: Southern Punch, which is toasted pecan-infused whiskey, white rum, mandarin, lime, passion fruit and basil syrup, and Golden Knights, an ode to the home team playing a few doors down in the form of Toki Suntory whiskey, Sip Smith gin, Yellow Chartreuse and ginger syrup. Bottom’s up, from the top of Vegas!

7. PBR Rock Bar @ Planet Hollywood – $$ – Center Strip

Inside of PBR Rock Bar with mechanical bull

Deep in the heart of Tex… – ahem, Vegas – is another rodeo-themed gem of a drinking post. Located on the highly trafficked Strip side of Planet Hollywood’s famed Miracle Mile Shops, PBR Rock Bar & Grill is a Professional Bull Riders affiliated mega-venue that truly epitomizes the phrase “a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll.” Rock Bar is a sprawling, modern, 16,800 square-foot backyard barbecue featuring two DJ booths, hundreds of big screen TVs lining the bar, and a massive hydraulic mechanical bull at its center, mounted and ridden in constant rotation by buxom staff and ballsy tourists.

The kitchen staff at PBR puts in big work with big plates and big flavors that truly capture the taste of the American Heartland: Chicken & Waffles, Smoked Brisket, BBQ Pork Ribs, and even secret recipes such as the famed Dorito Mac & Cheese. But as good as the food is here, it decidedly takes a backseat to the dranks. Rock Bar’s most memorable feature is its expansive outdoor drinking patio – cooling mist in the summer, heat lamps in the winter – that spills out onto the most coveted and most highly traversed real estate on Las Vegas Boulevard. The patio is packed nearly all times of the year and at all times of the day, the steady reservations traffic endlessly bolstered by walk-ups seeking to take advantage of PBR’s awesome drink specials to quench their thirst at its specialty frozen drink bar or its three other full-service bars. Locals normally shy away from Rock Bar as this is a true tourist trap, but that doesn’t make it any less fun a time for the visitors who dismount from their saddles and mosey on in. Cowboy Up!

8. Beer Park @ Paris – $$ – Center Strip

Similar to the Vegas Strip itself, this brand-new space was designed to bring people from all over the world together.

Inside Beer Park there is a 10,000-square-foot upscale “living room” foyer with parlor-style furniture seating arranged in circles to encourage meeting new people; outside there are Oktoberfest-style communal picnic tables for communal drinking and a grassy lawn to challenge strangers in friendly classic bar games like giant Jenga, Skee-Ball, Pop-A-Shot, darts, and billiards.

9. Nine Fine Irishmen @ MGM Grand – $ – South Strip

crowded scene at Nine Fine Irishmen, Las Vegas

One of the city’s best Irish pubs, Nine Fine Irishmen was designed and built by Ireland’s top craftsmen and shipped piece by piece to Las Vegas. 9Fine brings the charms of the Emerald Isle to Las Vegas in other ways as well: food, spirits, camaraderie, and of course music. Your favorite Irish dishes – the ones you wolf down only on St. Patrick’s Day – are on the lunch and dinner menu perennially; an impressive variety of Irish beers and drinks will allow you expand your horizons past Guinness and Jameson. Happy Hour runs from Monday-Friday from 2-5 pm; While the restaurant closes at 11pm, the bar stays open until 3am (which makes it the most convenient pre-game / rendezvous point for groups headed to nearby Hakkasan Nightclub).

Once the alcohol starts flowing at Nine Fine Irishmen, the live music entertainment takes the stage to keep the crowd’s toes tapping. In particular, the energy reaches crescendo levels in the evening around 9:30-10pm, when the house band bangs out a mix of traditional Irish music, wild electric jigs and reels, and classic sing-along songs. Granted, the atmosphere here can get a bit rowdy and dodgy, especially during big soccer matches when 9Fine takes on the feel and atomsphere of an edgy Euro-style sports pub. That being said, getting tipsy and creating your own live performances by singing amateur karaoke at the top of your lungs is strongly encouraged here. For that reason, it’s impossible to leave Nine Fine Irishmen off any list of great Vegas bars. Erin Go Bragh!

10. Parasol Up @ Encore Hotel – $$$$ – North Strip

Parasol Up Casino Bar @ the Wynn Las Vegas

With its ubiquitous red and gold interior decor – lucky colors particularly to the wealthy Asian clientele that often frequent its casino floor tables – the Wynn and Encore have always been one of the most luxurious properties on the Vegas strip. In recent years, they’ve traded in their elitist vibe – without sacrificing any of the luxury – for a more high-energy fashionista cool to target those aspirational Millennials of the aughts and teens that now have money to burn in 2020. The Parasol Up bar on the casino floor next to check-in is usually the first watering hole at the resort to greet these wide-eyed, ready-to-rock visitors; for that reason, its energy and vibe is always running high in the hours leading up to the start of the weekend.

At Parasol Up, Wynn/Encore literally and figuratively rolls out the red carpet to greet you with great service, expertly made cocktails, scenic views of the waterfall and blossom-filled atrium… and of course those colorful parasols suspended from the ceiling to remind you that it’s Vegas and you’re not in Kansas anymore, Toto. Their signature drinks will having you seeing red as well: the Boysenberry Delight, featuring a boysenberry vodka exclusive to the resort, and the popular berry-topped Sinatra Smash. Parasol Up is a ideal group meeting point and classy prelude to the resort’s big draw for the hipper, younger set: their day and night venues that continue to showcase the hottest musical talent in the world including The Chainsmokers, Drake, and Diplo.

Closest afterparty nightclub to Parasol Up: EBC At Night / XS (inside resort on first floor)

Evening concert in Las Vegas, Nevada

Top 10 Best Live Music Venues on the Las Vegas Strip

There is no shortage of live music to be found on the Las Vegas Strip. Cavernous, state-of-the-art venues with naming rights granted to well-heeled corporate sponsors host concerts for the biggest music artists in town, while all up and down the Las Vegas Boulevard stretch various lounges, bars, restaurants, and street performers offer up enticing song and instrument to entertain the strip’s 42 million annual visitors. Yes, the dayclubs and nightclubs of Vegas also do offer showstopping live performance spectacles featuring the best and brightest contemporary hip-hop night clubs and EDM in Las Vegas. However, if your musical tastes are less mainstream and more niche – think rock, blues, country, reggae, classical, or pop of yesteryear – and your party vibe more chill, then you’ll want to ditch the dance floors for comfy chairs, in-seat drinks, and great sight lines while watching your favorite artists perform live. And now, for some music to your ears, we present Discotech’s Top 10 best live music venues – big and small – on the Las Vegas Strip.

1. Brooklyn Bowl @ the LINQ Promenade – $$ – Center Strip

Packed house for concert at Brooklyn Bowl, Las Vegas

Located on the LINQ Promenade just steps away from the High Roller Ferris wheel, Brooklyn Bowl is an ultra-hip upscale bowling alley and also a well-loved restaurant by Vegas locals (their Blue Ribbon fried chicken is some of the best in the city). But where it really shines is as a concert venue showcasing heavyweight names in reggae, alt-rock, and other lightweight music genres that have rabid followings. Concerts here are standing-room only, but guests can also reserve VIP sections to the left of the stage which come with leather sofas, food/beverage table service, and use of the bowling lanes in between music acts (or even during, if you’re not a fan). Except on the 1-2 times a month a major artist drops in for a more intimate show, Brooklyn Bowl is one of the more affordable ways to catch live music on the Strip and thus always draws a crowd.

2. T-Mobile Arena$$$ – South Strip

evening concert at T-Mobile Arena

Home to the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights and semi-annual UFC megafights, T-Mobile Arena is an ultra-modern gathering place (construction finished in 2016) that boasts a seating capacity of 20,000. It hosts the biggest music acts of any genre swinging through Sin City: Metallica, Bruno Mars, Elton John, George Strait, J-Lo, and Ariana Grande are just some of the megastars that have played the stage.

From a concertgoer perspective, the sight lines, acoustics, and lighting/pyrotechnics are what you would expect – A++ grade – and the venue has all the amenities and trappings of any of the big-city arenas on the back of your favorite band’s “World Tour” t-shirt. It even has its own upscale lounge – Hyde T-Mobile, run by the SLS Group of Hollywood and South Beach fame – which offers wonderful birds-eye views of the arena and VIP extras like bottle service and gourmet food. Oh, and did we mention that the venue is surrounded by The Park Vegas, an open-air street lined with casual restaurants and bars that are perfect for pre-partying? (And post-partying, since Vegas never sleeps duh.) There’s no intimacy to T-Mobile Arena: it’s new, it’s big, it’s corporate, and despite being flashy it’s borderline soulless. But hey, even if you have a soft spot for betting on those underdogs in Vegas, every once in awhile you should spend easy money to ride the big-dog favorite.

3. Rose.Rabbit.Lie. @ Cosmopolitan – $$$$ – Center Strip

Evening dinner show at Rose.Rabbit.Lie

A popular hotel choice and rendezvous point for the beautiful twentysomethings and thirtysomethings of the world since the day it opened, The Cosmopolitan continues to stand out from all other high-end resorts on the Strip by maintaining its modern style and sophistication while consistently adding new attractions. Rose.Rabbit.Lie. is a singular jewel in Cosmo’s treasure chest: an unpredictable and unforgettable amalgamation of theater, club, restaurant, and bar.

This modern supper club carries an exquisite and frequently rotating fine dining menu; dinner with a special date is highly recommended, but if your budget is more modest you can post up at the bar to enjoy a hand-crafted cocktail with the show. We can’t really describe the unusual type of entertainment you might see on any night, other than that live music and risque wardrobes will abound. Nor would we want to spoil the surprises in store for you, which you’ll talk about with friends back home for months after your Vegas vacation. So press and steam your best suit or cocktail dress – upscale cocktail attire is required here – and brace yourself for one wild night in Vegas.

5. Zappos Theater @ Planet Hollywood – $$$ – Center Strip

evening concert at Zappos Theater

The current version of Zappos Theater received an extensive facelift and new identity in 2000 after decades as the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts in the old Aladdin Hotel. Its current Planet Hollywood proprietors – backed by the same team of rich and famous LA investors including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg that helped replace Aladdin with the PH resort over a decade ago – modernized the theater’s appearance and amenities, which in turn has attracted bigger-name music artists and higher-spending customers.

One-third the size of T-Mobile Arena, the 7,000-seat Zappos offers concertgoers VIP tables with bottle service (including a free bottle of Moet Champagne), flatscreen TVs displaying multiple stage angles, top-of-the-line acoustics that crank out professional-grade vocal and background sound, and even a post-show artist meet-and-greet (for an additional cost, of course). Past resident performers at Zappos include Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, and Def Leppard. Protip: it’s one of the few venues where parking is free, as it is located in the middle of Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops which provides this nice perk to draw shoppers to the property.

Originally created for music icon Celine Dion’s much-hyped “A New Day…” residency in 2003, The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has hosted almost 2,500 events over its lifetime. A multimillion-dollar renovation on the venue while painstakingly preserving its iconic, luxurious ethos was recently completed in September 2019. Upgrades include a new state-of-the-art sound system, a ginormous high-definition LED video wall, refurbished seat cushioning to enhance guest comfort, modernized moving light fixtures, and enhanced lobby bars and merchandise sales kiosks. Trust us on this: if The Colosseum – new and improved, top of the line, shiny AF – is good enough for fussy mega-divas like Celine Dion, Elton John, and Mariah Carey, then it will be plenty good enough for you, and well worth your time and money.

7. The Chelsea @ Cosmopolitan – $$$ – Center Strip

Concert at Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan

A hotel popular with well-traveled and well-heeled young foreigners as well as in-the-know locals, Cosmo has always attracted the cool kids crowd with its buzzy restaurant/lounge scenes and its cadre of Instagram-worthy installations. Fitting right in with this ethos, The Chelsea has hosted well-known artists over the years – Imagine Dragons performed on NYE 2019 – yet their sweet spot remains either up-and-coming acts just starting to get notoriety, or once-famous acts that still retain a strong cult following (e.g. Foster the People, Alice Cooper, Foreigner, Lenny Kravitz, Nas).

Rustic brickwork adorning the walls, quirky on-stage props and sculptures, and a vintage lobby bar are can’t-miss aesthetics for music lovers; the Cosmopolitan high-lifer will surely be drawn to the marvelous grand staircase and sparkling modern architecture on the walk up to his/her luxurious VIP gallery boxes. A more intimate venue with a capacity of just 2,000, The Chelsea consistently carries elevated demand for its upcoming shows – general admission tickets are standing-room only, and mid-priced assigned seating sections often sell out quickly, so plan ahead accordingly.

8. Park Theater @ Park MGM – $$$ – South Strip

park mgm las vegas at dusk

MGM Resorts is one of the founding fathers of live music entertainment in Vegas. Barbra Streisand – just a catchy hook for the EDM generation but the Adele of the Baby Boomer generation, ask your parents! – was the inaugural performer for MGM’s now-legendary Grand Garden Arena on New Year’s Eve 1994. The legacy of great entertainers continues twenty-six years later with MGM’s newest concert venue at its newest Strip resort. Formerly the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, the upscale Park MGM Las Vegas opened in 2018 after a multimillion-dollar renovation, providing a casual and cool atmosphere catering to younger travelers (mid-twenties to early-thirties).

Its cozy 5,200-seat Park Theater provides intimate and immersive views and experiences that resonate with younger clientele; enhancing the audio and visual spectacle are a 140-foot wide stage, a 240-foot wide projection surface with projection mapping technology, and 9 gargantuan HD / 4K Projectors. The venue also features 7 separate bars and terraces with stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip, The Park, and T-Mobile Arena and as an added bonus is a short walk from the foodie haven that is Park MGM, where ultra-hip(ster) offerings such as Eataly and Roy Choi’s Best Friend are must try nosh spots post-concert. So make those plans today to go gaga for Lady Gaga or turn back time with Cher: a walk in the Park Theater is as refreshing and as stress-free as… a walk in the park.

9. House of Blues @ Mandalay Bay – $$ – South Strip

Evening concert at House of Blues, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

Staying ever true to its Southern Hospitality theme across all of its worldwide locations, the House of Blues unveils for its Las Vegas version the intimate aura of an upscale Bourbon Street boogie. The stage and the music hall are the centerpiece of every HOB layout including this one; the area directly in front of the stage is first-come first-serve and standing-room only. Colorfully bold Mardi Gras vibes emanate from state-of-the-art audio/visual technology within an environment carefully crafted with the goal of bringing fans and the artists they love closer together. It’s a great venue for guitar-heavy musical genres; rock legend Carlos Santana loves playing here and visits several times a year to perform for swooning sold-out crowds. One of the most unique live music experiences in Vegas is the long-running House of Blues Sunday Gospel Brunch, where guests are treated to soulful performances of Gospel / R&B music while enjoying mimosas and a scrumptious Southern-style brunch buffet.

For that reason – the whole DIY aspect of live music creation – it’s impossible to leave Nine Fine Irishmen off any list of great Vegas live music venues. Erin Go Bragh!

Top 10 Best Pools on the Las Vegas Strip (Non-Dayclub)

The popularity of Las Vegas as a summer tourist destination skyrocketed in the early 2000s with a dedicated push by the Strip’s powers-that-be to bring trillions of gallons of chlorinated water to the desert. Nowadays, with a high-quality refreshing pool on every resort’s list of entertainment offerings, it’s more difficult to identify which ones are worth your precious time to visit.

Sure, we understand: even though you’re in the mood to get wet, lounge about, and have a few drinks, the wildest dayclubs and pool parties in Vegas may not be what you are looking for. Fear not weary traveler, there are some magnificent Vegas pools that stand out above the rest: sparkling desert oases (or is it oasises?) that will provide you the ultra-relaxed lounge vibe you desire in the central location you want – right smack dab on The Strip. Here is our list of the Top 10 best chill pools (the non-party pools) in Vegas for you to chill out, get your tan on, and beat the heat.

1) Wynn / Encore – Wynn Pool – $$$$ – South Strip

With its ubiquitous gold-accented interior decor, the Wynn/ Encore resort has always been one of the most luxurious properties on the Vegas Strip. In recent years, they’ve traded in their elitist vibe – without sacrificing any of the luxury – for a more high-energy fashionista cool to target those aspirational Millennials of the aughts and teens who now have money to burn in 2020. While the big draw for the hipper, somewhat younger set remains this resort’s party venues – some of the best in the world for nearly a decade running – their non-party pools are equally world-class, exuding quiet glamour and peaceful serenity. Impossibly beautiful service staff waits on you while relax atop supple couches and loungers, pausing to dive into the refreshing waters and touch the vibrant painted butterflies that grace the pool floor. What are you waiting for – you deserve the best, right?

2) Caesars’ Palace – Garden of the Gods – $$$ – Center Strip

caesars pool las vegas

The casino resort that defined Las Vegas luxury for baby boomers was re-introduced to and lionized by the 40-and-under set via the 2009 smash-hit movie “The Hangover.” A decade later, Caesars’ Palace continues to be a must-visit resort on the Strip, and its Garden of the Gods pool oasis – one of the best-named things of any thing in Vegas – is a big reason why. The smaller pools that make up the complex – Apollo, Fortuna, Jupiter, Neptune, Temple, Venus – are named after Roman mythological gods, and each has its own clever primary purpose (e.g. Apollo is for sunbathing, Venus is an adults-only topless pool). With ornate fountains and statues strewn about the pool deck, The Garden of the Gods also provides one of the most Instagram-worthy water backgrounds in Sin City. Insider tip: if you think the Caesars’ pools look stunning during the day, swing by in the early evening as the sun sinks behind the mountains in the horizon. Your friends back home will suspiciously wonder why half the pics in your camera phone are of this scene.

3) Cosmopolitan – Boulevard Pool – $$$$ – Center Strip

cosmo pool las vegas

A popular hotel choice and rendezvous point for the beautiful twentysomethings and thirtysomethings of the world since the day it opened, The Cosmopolitan continues to stand out from all other high-end resorts on the Strip by maintaining its modern style and sophistication while consistently adding new attractions. The choice of well-traveled and well-heeled young foreigners as well as in-the-know locals, Cosmo attracts the “cool kids” crowd with its buzzy pool/bar scenes, and The Boulevard Pool is right on brand. If its sister venue Marquee Dayclub is the sorority-girl wild child, then Boulevard Pool is the ultra lounge-loving sophisticated older sister who enjoys art, books, foreign languages, white wine, and dirty martinis. The pool consists of one continuous water body with multiple shallow ends (less than 1 foot deep) where you can sit, or even lie prone in the water, while sipping your cocktail. Out of the pool, you can feed your competitive streak with deck games like ping-pong and foosball or just enjoy the magnificent third-story view overlooking the bustling and sweltering Vegas Strip.

4) Mandalay Bay – Mandalay Beach – $$ – North Strip

Aerial view of Mandalay Beach and wave pool on crowded summer day

The giant Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is every bit as luxurious as the other resorts on this list, but it’s one of the oldest resorts on the Strip and thus no longer exudes that “exclusive” feel as do many of the others. It’s not for lack of effort though: the 11-acre playground has three large pools, a lazy river, 2,700 tons of white sand, a 1.6 million gallon wave pool, and even an elevated stage built atop the wave pool where live performances regale fans wading in thigh-deep water. The resort itself offers a plethora of family-friendly atmosphere and amenities, e.g. shark reef aquarium, interactive shows, kid-friendly eateries. As a result, a family-friendly booze-friendly backyard pool party – with quite a few tipsy aunts and uncles stumbling around – is the vibe you’ll get here, particularly in the summers when school is out. Add in the intermittent air traffic noise (it’s across from McCarran) and inconveniently long rides to any center or south Strip locations, and this venue can often take on the feel of Disneyland instead of Sin City. Which is fine if you’ve got kids in tow and don’t want to (or can’t) stray too far from your home base just to cool off.

5) Aria – Aria Pool – $$$ – Center Strip

A glittering center-strip jewel rising from the desert floor, Aria – set against the backdrop of the shiny, new CityCenter complex – is one of the largest hotels on Planet Earth. The resort offers some much-needed respite from the desert heat in the form of its Aria Pool, one of the most sleek, spacious, and serene pool decks on The Strip. Refreshment and relaxation are easily had at any Aria’s three ellipse-shaped pools, with swaying palm trees and shrubbery yielding coveted shade spots to ward off the sunburn. Cabanas for rent offer further privacy and elevated service plus a quiet place to lounge, and poolside grub and drinks are available from Aria’s Breeze Café and Pool Bar. Even better: Aria houses arguably the best collection of upscale dining options – CATCH, Javier’s, Lemongrass, Carbone, Din Tai Fung, and Sage, to name a few – of any Strip resort, and you can have any of them on-demand for a sumptuous poolside feast.

6) Venetian – Venetian Pool – $$ – South Strip

Venetian Las Vegas pool deck in summer

Now one of the oldest four-star-and-up properties on the Strip, Venetian has aged gracefully: it’s every bit as fetching, well-maintained, and fun-loving as a botox-blessed Italian cougar. Grandeur and opulence inspired by the charming canals of the great city of Venice (duh!) is the overriding aesthetic, from grand white marble columns to blue-hued painted cloud ceilings to its lively Italian veranda 4th-floor resort pool deck. Five acres of gorgeous, lush, elegant grounds reminiscent of a rambling European-style garden, Venetian Pool showcases a hot tub, 3 pools, 23 cabanas, 4 outdoor pavilion beds, outdoor showers, and a pool retail shop. If you get hungry, there’s the acclaimed RIVA by Wolfgang Puck for poolside eats, and if – no, when – you get thirsty, there’s a watering hole at almost every turn of the wandering path. Be on the lookout for the newly renovated Tao Beach, which will reopen in 2021 and cause a spike In spillover foot traffic of the twentysomething singles variety in the regular Venetian Pool areas.

7) The Linq – Influence Pool – $$ – Center Strip

Post-millennials & Gen Z: they turned the word “bae” into synonyms for “darling” or “poop” and the word “literally” into synonyms for “actually” and “figuratively.” So it’s no surprise that they’re raving about the Influence Pool at the LINQ, which ironically is neither influential (not yet, at least) or a true pool party (more on that later). The youngest resort sibling in the Caesars family – and perhaps the one with the most spunk – the LINQ was renovated, rebranded, and relaunched in 2014 with an emphasis on targeting fresh-faced twentysomethings (and pesky thirties hangers-on). As a result, the entire resort including its pool area is modern, contemporary, ultra-clean, and still has a bit of that “new car” smell and look. Here’s what their Influence Pool offers: A) 35 pool side daybeds and 10 grand cabanas available for daily rental; B) an elevated DJ booth in the heart of the action pumping out dance tunes; C) an above-ground side pool (read: tank) with see-through windows on each end, perfect for social media influencer photos; D) a “cooler than you” fit crowd that oozes the ignorant carefree bliss of youth. It’s quite similar to a dayclub, but its showrunners refuse to brand it as such or compare it to the other wilder Strip parties; in fact, they are quick to remind you that it’s NOT a pool party per se but an “experience.” When we figure out what they mean by that, we will let you know… meanwhile, the party – ahem, spectacle – at Influence Pool rocks on, continuing to be as hot / cool / confusing / ironic / fascinating / buzzworthy / hyped / overhyped as Post-Millennials & Gen Z themselves.

8) Bellagio – Bellagio Pool – $$$ – Center Strip

With its world-famous Bellagio fountains out front-and-center mesmerizing Las Vegas Strip visitors with dancing water light shows every 15 minutes, the Bellagio is the epitome of understated elegance. Visitors with refined tastes and a preference for decades-old wine over stiff cocktails will enjoy a stay here, and its resort pool exudes that same sophisticated aura. No less than five pools beckon from an elegant, peaceful garden landscape. Available amenities for visitors include private cabanas with misters, WiFi, pool rafts, chilled towels, cocktails made with fresh juices, freshly made lunch options, and poolside massages. It’s common locals knowledge that Bellagio has the double fortune of having one of the best sportsbooks AND one of the best poker rooms in Vegas; so, their resort pool is the perfect wet break to clear your mind when your bets start to run dry.

Closest dayclub to Bellagio: Marquee Dayclub (@ Cosmopolitan next door)

9) Mandalay Bay – Delano Beach Club – $$$$ – South Strip

Pool chess at Delano beach club

Situated at the Delano Hotel tower – which itself is part of the massive Mandalay Bay resort – the Delano Beach Club is a calm, cool, and collected alternative to the Strip’s clanging, flickering, ADD-inducing madness. The Delano brand epitomized level-headed white-hued South Beach style and splendor for nearly a decade before making its way to Las Vegas. This trademark look has been uprooted from beach to desert and painstakingly replicated in its all its magnificent details. The pool deck decor is reminiscent of its internationally renowned Miami predecessor in that cool white persists as the dominant furniture color; white accents the handful of hammocks spread throughout, as well as the cabanas (which come with standard luxe amenities like pool toys, waiter service, and TVs) and the oversized in-water chess set sculpture. DBC Las Vegas is the anti-club and ideal post-party: an idyllic, mellow scene to wind down and dry out for the day. The “see and be seen” vibe definitely made it from Delano East over to Delano West… but we certainly don’t blame you if you wanted to hunker down at this hideaway all weekend and do neither of the two.

Closest dayclub / pool party to Mandalay Bay: Moorea (on resort property outdoors) / Daylight (on resort property outdoors)

10) MGM Grand – Grand Pool Complex – $$$ – North Strip

Another come-one-come-all destination, MGM’s Grand Pool Complex throws out 6.5 acres of (mostly) family fun featuring four refreshing swimming pools, three whirlpools, cascading waterfalls and top-notch amenities. Kids of all ages can grab a tube and float down perhaps the most well-traversed lazy river in Nevada, stretch out on a comfy daybed, enjoy a variety of food and drink options, or find relaxing bliss with a poolside massage. Feeling more like a grown-up today? One of the complex pools is dedicated to an ultra-chill adults-only vibe, and you’ll find the crowd there – mostly 30s and 40s couples and their single “third wheels” drenched in sun and alcohol – to be much more friendly conversational than party confrontational. But rest assured whatever you enjoy doing by the water you’ll be able to find your poolside vibe here… and you’ll find pleasurable views and activities to do at every turn.
