Calvin Harris Purchases Steve Angello’s Mansion for $5 Million

Steve Angello found the perfect buyer for his customized Los Angeles mansion. It turns out fellow DJ Calvin Harris is the new owner of the four-bedroom, five-bathroom abode.

The Scottish DJ paid $5.05 million for the 6,010-square-foot Hollywood Hills house, which was on the market for $5.5 million.

This is actually the third West Coast home Harris has scooped up, and it’s also the least pricy—he bought a home in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for a hefty $15 million in August 2014, and before that, he owned a West Hollywood residence for which he doled out $7 million in April 2013. He tried to part ways with the West Hollywood home, which is right off the Sunset Strip, in January 2016, but shortly thereafter removed it from market in May of that year.

Brightly painted red doors open into Harris’ new home, leading into a living room with sky-high 18-foot ceilings and walls of glass.

The eat-in kitchen neighbors a cozy family room, and outside there’s a wraparound deck and lounge by the pool area, which also has an outdoor shower.

A two-story master suite is fitted with double-height bay windows, per the listing held by Hilton & Hyland broker Gary Gold, while a separate guest suite is reached via a private entrance.

But the most attractive feature for Harris, whose real name is Adam Richard Wiles, must be the two-story den-slash-music room. The second floor is fully outfitted as a professional recording studio.

Steve Angello Kicks Off His Residency at Omnia

Following the split of legendary group Swedish House Mafia in 2012, producers Axwell and Ingrosso started touring together as Axwell ^ Ingrosso, and Steve Angello forged his own path to individual stardom. Following an intense tour schedule, the renowned producer has settled down for a residency at the Hakkasan-owned Omnia club. Bringing a stadium vibe to a club setting, Omnia and Angello have curated a performance rivaling one at any music festival.

Opening on a dramatic and jubilant note similar to announcing royalty, the trumpet-adorned melody eventually quiets down into a tantalizing breakdown as lights cascade down the walls of the club. As cellos make their entrance into the sequence, extraterrestrial ceiling lights brighten the room while the Swedish DJ cues startling light flashes out into the crowd. When the opening house tune finally blasts over the speakers, the audience bursts into profuse applause as the visuals transport them into a production rivaling SHM’s ‘One Last Tour.’ Check out upcoming Steve Angello shows on our mobile app.

Foxtail Pool Club Announces Grand Opening Dates

The newest pool party in Las Vegas splashes down on March 13.

Foxtail Pool Club at SLS Las Vegas brings a lineup of electronic dance music heavyweights, including Swedish DJ Steve Angello, formerly of Swedish House Mafia, house music deejay Erick Morillo of “Fun” by Da Mob fame and English trance music specialist Gareth Emery.

Technically, Foxtail is the resort’s pool during the week and transforms into a club Fridays through Sundays. SLS opened right before Labor Day weekend, missing out on the warm weather party season.

The retro-inspired space takes up 43,000 square feet with a pool bar anchoring it. Hang out in one of the 25 cabanas, two VIP cabanas, 30 daybeds or “floating” lily pads while catching rays.

Stick around until night when the wall of the neighboring parking garage and hotel tower turns into a canvas for a 3D mapping show.

While the pool party starts the waves in March, the official grand opening comes on Friday, April 24, with Rebecca & Fiona, the Swedish duo whose singles include “Luminary Ones” and “Bullets.” Morillo kicks off the Sunday party on April 26.

LiFE Nightclub at SLS Announces 2015 DJ Residencies

LiFE Nightclub revealed today the star studded DJ residents that will be performing at the SLS Las Vegas’s hottest new club this year.

This year, Sin City party revelers can expect to see hot electronic dance music DJs including 3LAU, Borgore, Danny Avila, EDX, Erick Morillo, Fedde le Grand, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz, Michael Woods, Pete Tong, Thomas Gold, Stafford Brothers, and and dozens more who will bring their innovative residencies to the vibrant nightspot.

“At LiFE, we believe the people are the true essence of the party, so when it comes to pleasing our guests, we are constantly thinking about what they want to see and hear,” said Costas Charalambous, president of SBE nightlife. “This year’s lineup attests to that belief. Not only are we bringing some of the biggest names in the music industry to our stage, but we are also exploring new talent to deliver some of the best emerging artists of 2015.”

Erick Morillo, who kicked off the nightclub’s grand opening party in August, will be back for another year. As one of the most in-demand and recognizable DJs in the EDM circuit, Morillo has remixed tracks for Whitney Houston, Basement Jaxx, Macy Gray and countless others.

Steve Angello will also be returning in 2015 with his art-driven Reflections residency, which was highly successful when it debuted last fall, featuring cutting edge production and exclusive music, set within an iconic atmosphere.

LiFE is one of the newest nightclubs on the Strip, boasting 60-foot ceilings, three full-service bars, 70 VIP tables, mesmerizing performers and aerialists, as well as an open-air rooftop pool. It’s open Friday through Sunday nights from 10:30 PM until 4 AM.

Steve Angello Announces Residency at LiFE

Steve Angello, the former Swedish House Mafia DJ is the latest producer to announce a residency at LiFE nightclub at the SLS Las Vegas. The multi platinum selling Swedish DJ will unveil “Reflections,” a hypnotic, multidimensional visual experience at the SLS Hotel and Casino on November 22.

“For the last 10 years that I have played Las Vegas I’ve been on the lookout for the perfect venue that focuses on the guest experience rather than the money making,” said Angello. “SLS and LiFE have the perfect venue with the most important aspects of a real club experience – the sound and visuals. It’s important to cater to the music we are playing and therefore they won!”

Angello and LiFE promise to deliver an experience unlike anything else in Vegas while allowing Angello to exhibit his artistic talent beyond music production.

“‘Reflections’ is a new concept that I have created with my team at SIZE & Rebels. Our vision was to create an experience that will reach worldwide,” said Angello in a press release.

“This is something no one else has done in Las Vegas and it’s important that we keep the creativity moving, otherwise we’re just another name on a billboard with a date at a club.”

Steve Angello previously held a residency deal at XS and Encore Beach Club at the Wynn and Encore. He’s also expected to release a new album, “Wild Youth” early next year.

Angello is the latest addition to LiFE’s impressive residency list, which includes Eric Prydz, Dirty South, Richie Hawtin, Erick Morillo, R3hab, and Borgore.
